By an English practitioner

(Clearwisdom.net) It has been so windy in England recently that we could not hold the signature collecting activity outdoors. Someone told me that there were many students from Mainland China enrolling at the Universities in the UK during recent weeks; therefore, we decided to have the signature collections there. Thus, we could bring the "Rescue Our Family Members" activities indoors and at the same time clarify the truth to the Chinese students.

Queen Margaret University College is a college with many overseas Chinese students. We could see Chinese students who were around 17 or 18 years old walking in the corridors two or three at a time. They looked innocent. When they went by me, I would give them our Dafa materials with a smile. I particularly told them about Jiang being sued abroad and the truth of the "Self-Immolation" in Tiananmen Square, which is being investigated by the "Global Commission to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong." They were all amazed after hearing this important news.

Some Chinese students came to ask me for materials revealing the truth about Falun Gong after finding out that someone was distributing them in the university. Many Western students curiously looked at the petition sheets on the table and the poster asking them to help "Rescue our Family Members." I casually asked them, "Would you like to sign? Do you want to help us rescue our family members?" Some of them pointed to the picture on the poster, and asked, "Are you rescuing your sister?" I then started to tell them the truth from the question they asked, until they knew everything thoroughly. After hearing it, they all signed without hesitation. Afterwards, some of them expressed their sympathy for the suffering Dafa practitioners in Mainland China. Some expressed their anger at the brutal persecution that the Jiang regime has enforced on Falun Gong. Some wanted to learn the Falun Gong exercises. Still other students asked me whether their signatures could serve any use. Accordingly, I told them how Canadian practitioners successfully rescued seven family members with the help of the Canadian government and citizens. They all felt encouraged and were happy to offer their help in any way possible.

One young Chinese man told me that he wanted to learn Falun Gong. He asked for details of the local exercise site. He said that he had been in England for less than a year. He did not oppose Falun Gong and had heard that Falun Gong practitioners are all good people. He also told me that after the persecution of Falun Gong in China, he and his classmates had received a letter from a Falun Gong practitioner. They all wrote back to him. However, the school punished all of these ten classmates, including him. Watching his innocent face and listening to his story touched me. Those Chinese students who come overseas at this time have not come by accident. Many students have learned Falun Dafa since we started to reveal the truth about the persecution in the universities in September last year.

In the activity of collecting signatures for the "Rescue our Family Members" campaign in this University, I have understood something more. In the past, when I saw Chinese, I would automatically give Dafa materials to them, but seldom asked them to support us by signing their names, unless they themselves wanted to do so. I always believed that they would not sign. This time, I asked some Chinese students in the university to sign. To my surprise, some of them signed their names without hesitation. It seems that before I was held back by my notions. I am also enlightened that we can do many things together at this time by cooperating well. Furthermore, we should seize this time and opportunity to do what we are doing at present more deeply and completely.
