Switzerland: Practitioners Reveal the Truth to Chinese People during the Chinese New Year

Chinese people regard the Chinese Lunar New Year as the most ceremonious annual holiday. It is a time for family reunions, and for relatives and friends to come together and celebrate.

In order to ensure that fellow Chinese people have a correct understanding of Falun Gong, many Swiss Dafa practitioners used their money to send materials which revealed the truth about the Jiang regime's persecution to their relatives, friends, and others in China, before the Chinese Lunar New Year. Also, some non-Chinese practitioners even spent an entire week preparing a Chinese letter to send to different areas in China to reveal the facts of the persecution.

During the holidays, Chinese people in different places in Switzerland attended parties that were held to celebrate the Chinese New Year. These parties were organized by the Chinese foreign mission in Switzerland in conjunction with various Chinese communities in places such as Z rich, Geneva and Bern. Practitioners took this as an opportunity to tell the facts to the Chinese people. Some Swiss practitioners braved severe cold to get to the party venues. Some distributed self-made materials and Video-CDs that exposed details of the persecution in China to people at the parties. For example, practitioners in Z rich braved sub-zero temperatures to distribute more than two hundred self-made Video-CDs to Chinese people at the end of a party. Some practitioners participated in the party and with their compassion and peaceful attitude, talked to people around them about the true nature of the persecution of Falun Gong. Their spirit, righteous demeanor, good health, and vitality were plainly evident to the Chinese people: "We know that Falun Gong is unlike what the government falsely claims just by seeing your vitality. It seems that I also should practice Falun Gong." Some others said, "Its time to restore the good reputation of Falun Gong."

One particularly touching thing was that several Swiss practitioners from the German-speaking region brought self-made Chinese Lunar New Year greeting cards, truth-clarifying materials and Video-CDs to cities where many Chinese students gathered. In total, the practitioners drove nearly 1,500 kilometers and distributed almost a thousand VCDs and other materials.

Although there was no school on Saturday or Sunday, practitioners encountered several schoolteachers on their trips. Swiss people knew that it was Chinese New Year, so they were willing to help the practitioners to forward the materials to their Chinese students. Some approximated the numbers of the Chinese students that they were teaching, so that they could take enough for each student. Sometimes, practitioners went from venue to venue just to reveal the facts about the persecution at each New Year celebration. They would personally distribute cards and materials to Chinese students, which were happily accepted. When practitioners entered one hotel management school, they met two students who had come from Mainland China. These two students had been in Switzerland for only two weeks, and practitioners immediately played the Video-CD for them on their laptop computer. The two students watched every scene seriously. Dafa practitioners broke through the web of deceit and slander created by the state-controlled media in Mainland China, by telling the truth to these students. The students were touched deeply and said, "To tell you the truth, because of the continuous propaganda of the media and the government, I was really confused by Falun Gong, even hated Falun Gong. After watching this video, I understand everything. I think Falun Gong is good, especially good. Thank you for coming to our school and telling us the truth. We will tell our other schoolmates the truth." The practitioners gave them greeting cards, VCDs, and materials, and asked them to let their schoolmates watch them so that any misunderstandings could be clarified. The Chinese students repeatedly offered their thanks. Watching the two young students understand the truth, Dafa practitioners forgot the toil they had been through for days. They hastened to another school with gratified smiles.
