Female practitioner Liang Tingting was the principal finance inspector of Gunagzhou Boli Group Company. She was kidnapped and sent to the brainwashing center at the end of 2001 and currently is detained in the brainwashing center-Guangzhou Law Education School on Xizhoubei Road in Guangzhou. She has been on a hunger strike for almost one hundred days and her situation has become extremely dangerous.

The police from the Sugar Factory police station took Jiamusi female practitioner Wang Guili away from her home around noon. She was denied contact with her family and later, was detained in a detention center. The Public Security Bureau illegally sentenced her to four years in prison.

Another female practitioner Li Xianglan from Jiamusi was arrested from a practitioner's home. She was illegally sentenced to serve a term in a forced labor camp. In September, police from the Public Security Bureau took her away and sentenced her to five years in prison.

Pan Yongxin is an eight-year-old student in Guangming Elementary School in Shuangya City, Heilongjiang Province. His father Pan Xingkun and mother Jiang Guihong are both Falun Gong practitioners imprisoned in forced labor camps. The school heard that Pan Yongxin practices Falun Gong and thus started to threaten him. The party secretary Gan Mei even harassed the student while he was in class. Pan Yongxin was so depressed under the school's pressure that he could not focus on his studies. Vice president Wang Gang and party secretary Gan Mei, along with two other people, even went to the student's home to threaten him.

Wang Ailan is a practitioner from Lanzhou City, Gansu Province. In late December 2002, police from Lanzhou City Public Security Bureau arrested her from home. The police brutally tortured her. But, Ailan firmly refused to give up practicing Falun Gong.
