Hua Haiying was a standing member of the Discipline Inspection Committee in Zanhuang County, Hebei Province. His sole duty in Chengguan Town was to persecute Falun Gong practitioners.

Dafa practitioner Ding Gangzi was incarcerated in the county detention center just because he didn't give up his practice of Falun Dafa's principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance."

In the detention center, the prison guard tortured him by shackling him, hanging him up with his hands cuffed behind his back, shocking him with electric batons, and not letting him have enough food to eat. When Ding Gangzi protested with a hunger strike, the prison guards frequently directed the criminals to beat him. Ding died from the persecution on June 11, 2001. At noon of the day that Ding Gangzi died, unusually strong winds swept across Zanhuang County.

On February 10^th, 2002, Hua Heng, the only son of Hua Haiying, died in an accident while riding a motorcycle. Later, his spirit possessed his third aunt's body. Using his third aunt's mouth, Hua Heng's spirit severely scolded his father, Hua Haiying, for his participation in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. In addition, the possessed aunt grabbed Heng's father's neck and spoke loudly, "Daddy, Please don't interfere with Falun Gong from now on." Hua Haiying was so surprised that he had to promise by nodding his head. This occurrence caused a tremendous shock to the Hua family.

After this incident happened, Hua Haiying absolutely did not participate in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners anymore.

Several wise officials in Zanhuang County also awakened to the truth and they avoided persecuting Falun Gong completely also.

After this event (see Clearwisdom.Net at February, 2002, "Deceased Son's Spirit warns Father Against Persecution", http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2002/2/22/19108.html) was disclosed by Minghui Net, the high ranking officials in Hebei Province were startled and frightened, so they appointed special individuals to investigate this occurrence. The investigators interviewed Hua Haiying, who was the person involved in this event. Regardless of the huge pressure, Hua Haiying described the details of what happened, and also in the end offered to resign his position .

The officials also investigated this event, in public and in secret, with local people. They found the facts were the same as the report from Minghui Net. The investigators were shocked by the confirmation of the facts. They reported the facts back to the provincial Party Committee of Hebei province.

Those in the Party Committee of Hebei Province who realized the truth of this event looked for excuses to not participate in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners any more. (Hua Haiying, the person involved in this event, has changed his position to the Culture Bureau in Zanhuang county.)
