Cases of Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioners in Quzhou County, Gannan Area, Gansu Province

Mr. Chen Xingquan, 37-years-old, was an accountant. In July 2000, he went to appeal for the second time and was arrested and detained in the county's detention center. On March 14, 2001 he was sentenced to one year in the Pingantai Forced Labor Camp in Lanzhou City, Gansu province.

Mr. Yang Zongcheng, 33-years-old, was the Chief in Pingdingxiang District, Quzhou County. In March 2001, he was detained because he did not renounce his faith at the brainwashing center. After more than a year of detention, he was sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp in October 2002, and received no credit for the year he had already served.

Mr. Zhao Yongcai, 34-years-old, was a teacher in Zangzhong, Quzhou County. In March 2001, he was detained because he did not renounce his faith at the brainwashing center. In December 2001, after about 10 months of detention, he was sent to Pingantai Forced Labor Camp for one year, and accused of previously appealing for Falun Gong. The ten months of detention did not count. His due date was December 5, 2002, but his term was prolonged for an additional two months because he did not renounce his beliefs.

Mr. Tan Changhong, 26-years-old, was an administrative officer in Chigan, Quzhou County. In March 2001, he was detained because he did not renounce Falun Dafa at the brainwashing center. He was held in the detention center for more than 9 months. On January 21, 2002 he was sent to Pingantai Forced Labor Camp for one year (receiving no credit for the 9 months of detention). His due date was November 21, 2002.

Mr. Tan Gaosheng, in his forties, is a farmer in Pingdingxiang District. In October 2001, he was illegally detained for more than one year for posting truth-clarifying banners. In December 2002 he was illegally sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp (the one year detention did not count), and on December 2, 2002, he was sent to the Pingantai Forced Labor Camp.

Li Hongbin, Deputy Party Secretary of Quzhou County, also Secretary of Administration and Legislation Committee, the leading person in persecuting Dafa practitioners.

Li Jinsheng, Head of Political and Security Branch. He arrests practitioners and sends them to forced labor camps.

Qin Ying, female, Chief Officer in the Quzhou County Credit Union.

Tan Housheng, Deputy Secretary of the Administration and Legislation Committee
