Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp Falun Dafa practitioner Li Cuilin, a 32-year-old woman, is from Gangyao Town, Longtan Area of
Jilin City. Before the Chinese Lunar New Year, she was illegally arrested in her home. At present
she is being unlawfully detained at the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City. She has been
subjected to various means of inhumane torture. We appeal to all individuals with a sense of justice
and to all relevant international organizations to help end this persecution. [Puning City, Guangdong Province] Please Urgently Rescue Seven Falun Dafa Practitioners On a
Hunger Strike Seven Falun Dafa practitioners from Puning City ---Wu Liduan, Wu Liqing, Wu Xiyuan, Wu Liqing,
Xie Luzhi, Liu Yanqing and Aunt Jiang---have been illegally detained in the Puning Detention House
for days. Most recently, they were to be sent to a forced labor camp. The seven practitioners have
been on a hunger strike since February 8th, protesting against their illegal detention. [Guangdong Province] A Deadly Infectious Respiratory Disease Appears in Guangdong Province According to a report that appeared in the Hong Kong Apple Daily on February 10th,
2003, an infectious and often fatal "viral pneumonia" has been spreading in Guangdong
Province. It was reported that at least five people had died from the virus, including medical staff
who had treated infected patients. Due to its highly infectious nature, people living in the area
are in a state of panic. A spokesman from the Hong Kong government replied to a request that the
Sanitary Bureau in Hong Kong should follow up on this event; however, he failed to state if any
people in Hong Kong are infected with the disease. It was discovered that this fatal virus emerged over a month ago in Heyuan, Guangdong Province.
Patients with this disease have symptoms of muscular pain and difficulty breathing. Those who are
seriously infected may die within a short period of time. Some patients were sent to hospitals in
Guangzhou City, but their lives could not be saved. However, more than ten medical clerks were
infected and some of them have even died from it. According to the report, doctors in local
hospitals held emergency meetings concerning this issue. [Linli County, Hunan Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Fu Jingping is Detained Fu Jingping, an employee at the Linli Commercial Bank, has been illegally detained. This is the
third time that he has been sent to the detention center. Fu Jingping had suffered from severe liver
disease before practicing Falun Gong. Now that he practices, he is recovering. He has already been
detained twice because he wouldn't give up practicing Falun Gong. develop in Dafa. Some practitioners in China February 10, 2003 [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] The "610 Office" Plots To Arrest Falun Dafa
Practitioners According to inside sources from the Harbin Public Security Bureau, the "610 Office" [an
agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of
administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] in Harbin City, will
carry out secret orders from "higher" authorities, to arrest Falun Dafa practitioners in
each district of the city. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Wang Yuying Becomes Penniless Falun Dafa practitioner Wang Yuying, a 67-year-old woman, is a retired employee from the
Panzhihua Steel Enterprise. At around 1:00 am on December 27th, 2003, sixteen policemen
came to her home in an attempt to arrest her; however, she was not at home. Therefore, the police
asked her husband to turn her in. On the evening of January 15th, the police came to her
home again to search for her. Since then, she has been unable go home and has been destitute for a
long period of time. The police continue to frequently harass and threaten Wang Yuying's husband and
daughter. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ocean University of China Openly Discriminates Against Falun
Dafa Practitioners Ocean University of China in Qingdao City openly refuses to accept Falun Dafa practitioners,
stated an employment notice published on their website. Not practicing Falun Gong and being against
Falun Gong have become the priority of their requirements. As far as it is known, a practitioner had been employed and then dismissed simply because he is a
Falun Gong practitioner, even though he did excellent work at the university. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Are To Be Tried On May 13th, 2002, practitioners Li Zhijie, Zhang Kunxiu, Xiao Shubi, Liu Xiaojun,
Yang Xiuqing, Du Peiyang, Zhao Kedang, Li Rongsheng and Jin X were illegally arrested. Currently they are being unlawfully detained in Chengdu City. Jinjiang Procuratorate [equivalent
to state prosecutors] may illegally put them on trial after the Chinese Lunar New Year. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Gao Dong is Arrested and Beaten Unconscious Before the Chinese Lunar New Year, practitioner Gao Dong from Panjin City wrote an appeal letter
to Hu Jintao about a Falun Gong issue. The local "610 Office" then illegally arrested him.
For over ten days he was subjected to brutal torture, one time being beaten till he lost
consciousness. The police were afraid that he might die in detention and therefore had to release
him. This citizen suffered from such brutal torture simply because he wrote a letter to the state
leader. From this we can see how China's human rights situation really is. During the 16th Party Congress, an article in a local newspaper praised local police.
It said in the article that, "During the 16th Party Congress, all policemen in our
city worked day and night, successfully blocking X-number of letters of appeal and stopping X-number
of Falun Gong practitioners from going to appeal..." The article appeared so ridiculous. We
wanted to ask Jiang's Regime: Is it true that citizens have the right to appeal according to Chinese
Constitution? Do citizens have the right to appeal or not? [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Zhou Weirong Is Detained Falun Dafa practitioner Zhou Weirong from Panjin City was arrested while distributing
truth-clarifying materials during the Chinese Lunar New Year. He is presently illegally detained at
