Since September 2002, Jinzhou Forced Labor Camp has been torturing Falun Dafa practitioners. They have attempted to forcefully brainwash the most dedicated practitioners and violently torture them by vicious means, including high-voltage electric shocks, sleep deprivation, slapping them with wooden boards, forcing them to sit on a small stool holding one posture for long period of time, and beating them. After the tortures, the labor camp staff would isolate the practitioners and bring in some collaborators [former Falun Gong practitioners who have gone astray due to brainwashing and torture] to further attack the practitioners.

Practitioner Zhu Feng refused to read the propaganda and tore up the newspapers that slandered Dafa. Policeman Zhang Chunfeng kicked and beat Zhu. Zhu's sentence was extended by one more month. Wang Yuquan was cruelly tortured many times and bled from his stomach. Several practitioners, including Liu Changping, were tortured many times with electric shocks. Sometimes, the police would not allow the practitioners to sleep for several days and nights in a row by shocking or slapping the practitioners for closing their eyes.

In January 2003, the lives of practitioners Zhu Feng and Shi Zhongyan were in danger from the torture. Zhu was sent to Jinzhou City Affiliated Hospital and Shi to the labor camp's clinic. The labor camp staff asked Zhu's family to go to the hospital and pay the treatment costs. The police told Zhu's family that if it were not for them making the payment, they would not have been allowed to see Zhu. Zhu and Shi have finished their two years of illegally imposed sentences as of July 2002, yet they are still detained.

In August 2001, practitioners Li Mihai and Liu Xinli (female) from the town of Pingshan were illegally arrested while they were distributing Dafa materials. Pingshan County Court illegally sentenced them to four years. They sent Li to Luquan City prison and Liu to the female squad in Hebei Second Prison in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province.

In October 2002, Li Bingang, from the town of Guyue was arrested for distributing Dafa materials. He was illegally and secretly sentenced to three years in Luquan City Prison.

In the evening of February 10, 2002, the police from Pingshan County Police Department broke into practitioner Zhang Guilian's home and illegally sent her to a detention center. In March 2002, they sent her to a local brainwashing center. With a strong righteous mind, Zhang escaped the brainwashing center and traveled from place to place to avoid the persecution. In November 2002, the police from Luquan City Police Department again illegally arrested her in Shijiazhuang City. She was detained in Pingshan Town Detention Center for over a month. The police confiscated 4000 Yuan from her family and forcefully brainwashed her for over one month at Hebei Province Brainwashing Center [Yuan, Chinese currency, the monthly salary for an average Chinese urban worker is about 500 Yuan.]. They sent her back to Pingshan County Detention Center. In order to resist the evil persecution, Zhang went on a hunger strike. The evil people force-fed her and left the tube in her stomach for several days. This torture caused her unbearable pain. Zhang is still illegally detained in Pingshan County Detention Center.
