Breaking Through the Arrangements of the Old Forces With Righteous Thoughts

I started practicing Falun Dafa in the winter of 1997.

On July 20, 1999, some fellow practitioners and I planned to go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa, but were prevented from doing so by the local police, who summoned me for interrogation. I knew that "Just by staying unaffected, you will be able to handle all situations" (Lecture on the Fa at the U.S. Midwest Conference). I would not disclose the names of other practitioners. I was very calm and told them nothing. The police were at their wit's end. When it was already past noon, the clock at the police station was still at 12 and hadn't moved. The chief asked his subordinate to move the clock's hands, but they stopped again five minutes later. Then the chief had the batteries replaced, but the hands on the clock still didn't move. I knew that the Teacher was reminding me that, "Just by staying unaffected, you will be able to handle all situations". I said to myself, " I understand, Teacher. I know what to do." The police let me go home after that.

On October 1, 2000, local police detained me for distributing flyers. Later, the police sent me to another detention centre where I spent all my time reciting passages from Teacher's books and articles as well as practicing the exercises and sharing experiences with fellow practitioners. After a period of time, I realised that I couldn't stay there like that. I said to Teacher, "Teacher, I have to leave this place." On that day, police from my district came to pick me up and took me to the local brainwashing center. Practitioners there resisted the evil and improved as a group. But then we enlightened that although it was good that we stayed together, other practitioners needed us. We still needed to clarify the truth and save sentient beings. With that thought, dozens of practitioners walked out of the brainwashing center and re-entered the current of Fa-rectification.

In 2001, local police again took me to a detention center. I updated the practitioners held there about the Fa-rectification process and told them that this was not where we should be. We had to go out no matter what. I also told them about Teacher's new articles and lectures.

As soon as I was taken to the detention center, I went on a hunger strike to protest my kidnapping. After a few days, I vomited. They said, "We will take you to the hospital tomorrow." On the following day, things happened as I wanted. On the way to the hospital, I put my palms together in a sign of respect [heshi] and said, "Teacher, I have tests to pass today. Please help me out." I was then diagnosed with liver inflammation and gallstone among many other diseases. Still the police would not let me go and insisted on sentencing me to 3 years in prison. While I was in the detention center, my righteous thoughts were not 100% strong, with everyday people's mentalities interfering sometimes. I knew that the old forces did not have the final say and that our cultivation path was arranged by Teacher.

I strengthened my righteous thoughts and eliminated the evil for 3 days and 3 nights with several other practitioners. At the same time, we clarified the truth to the people at the detention center. When I was eliminating the evil, I saw changes in the sky above the public security bureau as if a nuclear bomb had been dropped casting the devil's house into the sky. Some practitioners saw walls falling one after another. One policeman beat up practitioners and couldn't come to work the next day because of severe back pain.

I looked inward. Why didn't I want to be imprisoned or sent to a forced labor camp? Was it because I wanted to go out to participate in Fa-rectification activity or was it because I was scared of the abuse? I strengthened my righteous thoughts that I shouldn't be persecuted and that they can do nothing if I have righteous thoughts. As a result, I was released one more time and rejoined the Fa-rectification, doing what a practitioner should be doing.
