Radio Free Asia reported on February 21st, 2003, that a group of Falun Gong
practitioners from Taiwan had planned to attend the Global Falun Gong Experience Sharing Conference
to be held in Hong Kong the following day. However, citing "security reasons," the SAR
government blocked Taiwanese Falun Gong practitioners from entering Hong Kong. One practitioner
trapped at the Hong Kong airport said that the Falun Gong Experience Sharing Conference is not a
protest activity against the HK government. The Taiwanese Falun Gong Association estimated that
currently, dozens of Taiwanese Falun Gong practitioners had been denied entry by the Hong Kong
government.
