Partial List of Beijing University Professors and Students Persecuted for Their Beliefs
(Clearwisdom.net) On November 21, 2002, Beijing Dafa practitioner Pan Xu and his girlfriend
Li Shufeng, also a practitioner, were arrested from home and later sentenced to two years in a
forced labor camp. Currently Pan Xu is detained at the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp. Li Shufeng may have
been sent to Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp. Pan Xu's elderly father has been left at home to
care for himself. After July 20th, 1999, Beijing University officials carried out a series of severe
persecutions against Dafa practitioners. They even boasted, "No one can do anything to stop
us." They organized seminars to slander Falun Dafa. They forced practitioners to attend and
tried to make them denounce Dafa. Whenever they saw three practitioners together, the officials
would label them as "having a Fa-conference." These practitioners would then be arrested
and sent to labor camps. On "sensitive" days such as days leading up to festivals or
national holidays, police would round up practitioners and send them to detention centers or labor
camps. They tried to force Dafa practitioners to abandon
"Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." Professors and students who refused to renounce
their beliefs would face forced retirement or expulsion. Their intention is to destroy
practitioners' spirit, health and financial security. The following is a brief report regarding
several practitioners. Quan Gaoxi, male, 69, former Associate Professor of Biology was sentenced to one and a half years
