On the evening of March 5^th, 2002, Dafa practitioners broadcasted a truth-clarification program about Falun Gong via cable TV. The program exposed the truth of how Jiang's regime had tortured Falun Gong practitioners. Practitioners Lei Ming, Zhou Runjun, Zhao Jian, Tian Li, Chi Yan, Li Xiaojie, and Liang Zhenxin, were kidnapped and tortured by the police. The Changchun City Police Department set up an interrogation room near Jingyue Lake specifically to apply torture to these practitioners. Three police officers used electric batons to shock Chi Yan simultaneously all over her body, including her mouth, nipples, and private areas. Her body is covered with horrifying wounds.

Tian Li was shocked many times with electric batons while she was forced to sit on the tiger bench. The torture caused her to repeatedly scream in unbearable pain. Police also had to recharge the electric baton many times due to running out of power.

For five consecutive days, Li Xiaojie was forced to sit on a tiger bench while being shocked with an electric baton. She passed out many times during the torture.
