The Third Falun Dafa Day in Sweden: the City of Lerum Celebrates Falun Dafa Day (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On January 30 2003, the central square in front of the city hall building of Lerum was decorated with colorful balloons. The speakers were playing beautiful music in a cheerful atmosphere. The locals knew that there would be a celebration here.

As expected, at 1 pm, we heard the voice of Mr. Bengt Hornlund, member of City Council, the chairman of the People's Health Committee of Lerum and Chairman of the Youth Activity Committee. Mr. Hornlund, representing the city government, announced January 30 to be "Falun Dafa Day of Lerum." While the audience applauded, he cut the ribbon for "Falun Dafa Day".

In his speech, Mr. Hornlund highly praised the active role of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance" in people's mental and physical health, and for social morale. He affirmed the practitioners' high morality in the years of peaceful appeal and protest against the persecution in China. He also encouraged the people of Lerum to learn and practice the exercises.

After the ribbon cutting ceremony, some of the practitioners demonstrated the exercises. This is the third "Falun Dafa Day" in Sweden after proclamations from Biskopsgarden District and Bergsjon District of Gothenburg. A reporter from the New Tang Dynasty TV Station in Sweden interviewed Mr. Hornlund and reported the event.
