Cases of Falun Dafa Practitioners in Handan City, Hebei Province Being Illegally Detained and Sent to Forced Labor Camps

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Su Xueling, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Hanshan District, Hebei Province was kidnapped by officers from the Guangming Police Station. After she was detained for half a month, the police attempted to extort money from her. Unable to do this, they detained Ms. Su in the first Detention Center of Handan City, where she went on a hunger strike. Although she was very weak, the police still would not let her go. Before the New Year, she was illegally sentenced to the Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp for one year.

Ms. Huang Jinfang, a Falun Dafa practitioner from the Electricity Supply Bureau of Handan City was illegally detained for one year because she refused to participate in the practice of persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. She was released after her relatives were extorted for money. After her release, her workplace withheld assignments for more than one year, and she was not paid because she refused to write a letter guaranteeing that she would stop practicing Falun Gong. Before the 16^th Party Congress, the police harassed her late at night. Ms. Huang refused to cooperate and was able to escape. During the 16^th Party Congress, she went to Beijing to appeal. She was arrested and the corrupt police tortured her, but she resisted the persecution. She was eventually sentenced to three years at the Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp.

Qian Guoning and Guo Chunrong, a couple from Tezuo, Handan City, were detained for appealing in Beijing. Guo was illegally sent to a labor camp for two years. After she was released, the Department of Public Security of her workplace continued to harass her. In July 2002, the Department of Public Security of Tezuo kidnapped her again and she has been imprisoned for half a year now. The Department of Public Security of Tezuo frequently kidnaps Falun Dafa disciples for no reason, searching their homes, confiscating their property, detaining them and sending them to forced labor camps.
