The Miserable Experience of Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Dong Junming and His Family

(Clearwisdom.net)

Falun Dafa Practitioner Dong Junming, an employee from Hebei Vocational-Technical Teachers College (located in Qinhuangdao City of Hebei Province), had a horrible experience. In 2000, vicious police officers illegally detained him for over 150 days for going to Beijing to appeal and speak out in favor of justice for Falun Dafa. In the end he staged a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention and was released ten days later. Even after his release, the evil police kept making trouble for him. The security officers from the college, together with the illegal "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] once again took Dong Junming away for isolated detention. They resorted to many despicable means of treatment including threats, deceit, sleep deprivation, and other abuses to force Dong Junming to compromise and give up his belief in Falun Dafa. He has a rock-solid faith in Dafa and continued to protest the persecution through a hunger strike. His work unit, afraid of being held responsible, went so far as to trick his father to come to Qinhuangdao City. After they successfully forced Dong's father to write the guarantee to "not practice Falun Gong" in Junming's stead, Mr. Dong was released and sent home after a three-day hunger strike.

In 2002, when the summer break was nearing, the security officials at the college threatened Junming that "the guarantee letter is not enough proof; you have to write a letter criticizing Falun Gong, otherwise, you will be sent to a labor camp." Dong Junming sternly refused the illegal request from his work unit and was thus forced to leave home to avoid further persecution. To find Dong Junming and further persecute him, the security chief even went to his hometown, Fengnan County in Tangshan City, Hebei Province, to search for and further torment him. The security chief also encouraged people to try to force Dong's wife, Wang Shumei, to tell of Dong's whereabouts, but this failed. On October 31, 2002, when his wife Wang Shumei went out with her three-year old daughter, the security chief abducted her and sent her to a brainwashing class in Changli City, Hebei Province, while her daughter was sent to Dong Junming's hometown.

The daughter, who had never left her mother before, became sick, and developed a fever from thinking of her mother all the time. Her grandfather twice brought the little girl to Qinhuangdao City and they were twice denied their request to see Wang Shumei. The officials there claimed that if the grandfather did not take away the little girl, they would hire a baby sitter rather than release Wang Shumei. The girl was scared by the barbarous acts of the officials and kept crying loudly. She tightly held to her grandfather's legs. Reluctant to see his granddaughter endure the mental torture any longer, the grandfather had to bring his granddaughter back to his home in Tangshan City.

In resisting the persecution, Wang Shumei has been on a hunger strike for one month in the brainwashing class in Changli City. We thus strongly appeal to the international organizations who are protecting human rights and children, and all kind-hearted people in the world, to pay attention to this matter. We also ask the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong to address this situation. Let us act together to resist the evil persecution and demand justice for Dong's family.
