In spring of 2002, police in Heishan County were so cruel that they force-fed a female practitioner feces and urine because she had gone on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. They also brutally tortured her. As a result, her body was covered with bruises, and she was unable to walk. Even in her condition, the policemen still pushed her around while they interrogated her.

On January 5, 2003, a small-scale Fa conference [Falun Dafa experience sharing conference] was successfully held in a town in Northeast China, with an attendance of around twenty practitioners. At the conference, practitioners first read Teacher's article "Fa-rectification period Dafa Disciples," and other recent articles. Then they studied the article "Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.," which was published recently. After the Fa-study, the practitioners exchanged experiences in cultivation practice, and improved their understanding from the perspective of the Fa [law of the universe]. Several diligent practitioners talked about their experiences during Fa-rectification cultivation. The practitioners who had not done well identified their shortcomings, and were deeply encouraged. Through the conference, all the attendees gained confidence and became more determined in closely following the process of Teacher's Fa-rectification. The Fa conference concluded in a compassionate, harmonious and warm atmosphere.

On New Year's Day 2003, while four Dafa practitioners were distributing truth-clarifying literature at night in Dawang Village, Jinzhou, Hebei Province, they were secretly followed. At about 3 a.m. the next morning, the four Dafa practitioners including Zhang Zhengang were arrested. No one knows where the practitioners are being held.

On January 9, 2003, one female Falun Gong practitioner from the No.2 Cotton Mill in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province was arrested because she distributed truth-clarifying flyers. Her current situation is unknown.

During the 16^th Party Congress, Dafa posters, truth-clarifying flyers and CDs could be seen in every village in an area of Hebei Province. Dafa banners with golden Chinese characters on a red background were hung from white poplar trees on both sides of the road and fluttered in the air. In the remote villages, the truth of Dafa is deeply and solidly embedded into people's hearts.

However, some vicious people still attempted to take the Dafa banners down. But they failed, and then went to the nearby villages to arrest Dafa practitioners. One Dafa practitioner's home was searched, but he walked out of his home with righteous thoughts and under Teacher's protection. Half a month passed, and the vicious people still didn't get any information. So these vile people arrested Dafa practitioner Wang Yu (alias). They tried every way possible to force her to divulge some information. However, this Dafa practitioner was not moved at all and sternly told them, "We study Dafa, cultivate our hearts and try to become good people. It's not wrong. You cannot arrest me and hold me here. You must let me go. I'm going to walk out of here in an open and upright manner!"

The next day, officials from the "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] came to interrogate her. They saw Wang Yu lying on the floor, completely paralyzed and unable to move. It seemed that her life was in danger. For fear of being held responsible, the vicious people took Wang Yu to the hospital and then escaped hurriedly. After the vicious people left, Wang Yu stood up and went back home with no problems.

The Female Team of the Fushun Forced Labor Camp in Liaoning Province has almost completely disbanded. There are still 18 practitioners being detained there, and among them, 8 practitioners' names are unknown. Since January 7, 2003, the guards in the forced labor camp forced Dafa practitioners' family members to try to persuade the practitioners to give up practicing Falun Gong. They claimed that those who signed their names would be released and allowed to go back home to celebrate the Chinese New Year, and those who refused to sign would be sent to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Police in the forced labor camp say that seven section heads have been assigned for the purpose of persecuting Dafa practitioners. The practitioners held in the Fushun Forced Labor Camp are facing another round of persecution.

Dafa practitioner Teng Lianxiang, 49 years old, resides in the Caimao small residential district at Zhenxing Street, Xinglongtai District, Panjin City, Liaoning Province. After July 20, 1999, she still persisted in practicing the exercises at home. She was discovered by the head of the Caimao Neighborhood Committee, Shi Kelin. Shi Kelin and others went to Teng Lianxiang's home to stop her from practicing the exercises. She told them what was really going on and spread Dafa to them. The officials from the Neighborhood Committee then reported her to the Zhenxing Police Station. Police went to her home and destroyed Teacher's portraits and all of her Dafa books. In February 2001, she was forcibly arrested and sentenced to one year of forced labor education. Soon afterwards, the Head of the Neighborhood Committee, Shi Kelin, was dismissed from his post. After finishing her unjust term of forced labor education, Teng Lianxiang went back home. Officials in the Caimao Neighborhood Committee continued to persecute her. (The newly elected head, Yu Banhui, 54 years old, died of a cerebral hemorrhage on January 8, 2003). On November 4, the police from the neighborhood police station came to arrest her. She refused to open the door. Then the police broke into the room through the window. They ransacked her home, and forcibly took her to a brainwashing class. Soon after she was taken there she went on a hunger strike to protest. The officials there could not change her mind. They could do nothing but send her back home on the afternoon of November 14.

Falun Dafa practitioners in Tonghua Area, Jilin Province were inspired upon hearing that the Global Mission to Rescue Persecuted Falun Gong Practitioners was founded in the United States. Its founding is an act of the righteous overturning the evil.

We hope that the Global Mission to Rescue Persecuted Falun Gong Practitioners will succeed at an early date.

We have learned that all prominent internet cafes in Changchun City have had many kinds of software installed. The Internet administrators in the internet cafes can monitor all the computers' currently displayed contents through the main server. The Internet surfers don't have any privacy at all.

In May 2002, the Zhujianlu Police Station in Shenhe District, Shenyang City sent some Dafa practitioners to a forced labor camp. In order to gain more of a bonus, they searched everywhere to arrest those Dafa practitioners who had been forced to leave home and go from place to place.

In mid-September, 2002, Dafa practitioner Xu Shuying (female, over 50 years old), from Xishui, Hubei Province, was arrested by police in Xishui. She was secretly held in Yingshan County, Hubei Province, and was then transferred to Luotian County. At the end of December 2002, she was sent to the No.1 Detention Center in Xishui County. In December 2002, Xu Shuying was illegally sentenced to one year and three months of forced labor education.

At the end of 2000, Xu Shuying went to Beijing to safeguard Dafa. She unfurled a banner at Tiananmen, and shouted loudly, "Falun Dafa is good! Restore my Teacher's good name! Restore the reputation of Dafa!" She was brutally beaten by police in Tiananmen. In the end, she escaped with righteous thoughts.

During the detention, police in Xishui tortured her. Xu Shuying completely denied the evil persecution against her, and firmly resisted the evil from the bottom of her heart. She bravely disclosed the evil deeds of how the vicious people in Xishui persecuted Dafa and Dafa practitioners. In the battle between righteousness and evil, Xu Shuying maintained powerful righteous thoughts all the time, scaring the police in Xishui. Then police sent her to Yingshan County and Luotian County for further persecution. In the hot weather, police poured boiling water on her body. In winter, police poured cold water on her. All along she has remained steadfast and unyielding.
