A Former Leukemia Patient's Experiences

I used to be a leukemia patient. I sought many medical treatments, but the doctors and medicine did not do any good . Under this circumstance, I spent lots of money to learn many exercises, but they did not cure my illness. Then I started to practice Falun Gong. I have written down three experiences of my karma dissolution to validate Dafa.

1. On October 21^st, 2000, my feet were so swollen that I could not put on my shoes. When three fellow practitioners came to see me, the chief of the residents' committee reported it. The community officer chief led several people to rush into my home. While they were making calls to the "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] and two nearby police stations, I let fellow practitioners leave from the backyard. Five minutes later, many people came. They searched my home without a search warrant. They found nothing but forced me to go to the local police station. I refused. After this situation lasted for five hours, my daughter held me by my arms to help me get into the police car. I told the chief of the "610 Office" the facts of the persecution and the benefits in my mind and body after practicing Falun Gong. They did not find out anything from the interrogation and the ransacking of my home, so they released me.

After getting home, my legs became so swollen that I could not put on my trousers. The whole lower legs were bright and purple-reddish color, with red lines up to the tops of my thighs. There were also egg-yolk size lumps at the tops of my thighs. The chief of the residents' committee, community office, and "610 Office" tried to force me to go to a forced labor camp, and I refused. Two section chiefs in hospital said, "This illness is incurable, and the flesh will die away piece by piece." I trusted Dafa and Teacher, and I recovered in less than half a month without treatment from the hospital.

2. On February 24^th, 2001, a brainwashing session was held in my city. The "610 Office", community office, police station and other departments got together and compelled me to attend the brainwashing class. On that day, a superior official also reprimanded three managers in my company for not "teaching" me well. There was not a bit of personal freedom in the brainwashing class, and no breaks were allowed. During my detention, my father had his birthday with tears in his eyes, and my daughter often went hungry. However the lawless personnel said in a large meeting, "Don't think you are being good people by taking the initiative to do cleaning and other chores. In reality you are not compassionate at all, you are just hurting your families." Obviously the lawless people in the government persecuted us, but instead they turned things around on us and said that we were not compassionate.

Because I refused to write the "Three Statements" ["Three Statements" are documents coerced under extreme pressure, torture and brainwashing, designed by the Chinese authority to ensure that detained Falun Gong practitioners are appropriately brain-washed. The statements consist of a letter of repentance, a guarantee to never again practice Falun Gong, and a list containing names and addresses of all family, friends and acquaintances of the detainee who practice Falun Gong. This system was concocted by the "610" office.] and read books that slander Dafa, I was targeted by the public security bureau. They sent a specialist to forcibly brainwash me. I told the head of the "610 Office" about how I benefited from practicing Falun Gong.

During the forcible brainwashing, I often had a fever. Several blue spots appeared on my legs, I was ill with vomiting and diarrhea, and I would vomit as soon as I ate. The vicious police were afraid to take responsibility and released me. It was Teacher's compassion again that protected me in the form of "karma dissolution." Eventually, I was illegally sentenced to forced labor because I refused to write "Three Statements."

3. On July 19^th, 2001, the political instructor and several local policemen rushed into my home. They forced me to go to the police station with the excuse of taking records for a confession. They asked me what titles I held in the Falun Gong organization. I said: "There is no organization, fame, self-interest, or official titles in Dafa." They compelled me to sign on the statement, be recorded on video, give fingerprints, and tried to force me to give up my practice. I refused all of their demands. They detained me for one day and one night. I cleaned every room in the police station, and was not given any food. Without proper legal procedure, the police illegally detained me under the charge of "sedition." I had a high fever and vomited, but the police forcibly dragged me to the detention center. The detention center did not allow Dafa practitioners' family and friends to visit, and the price of daily items were 2 to 3 times higher than outside. The food was very bad and the drinking water was putrid. We had to work for 12 to 13 hours each day. The detention center started to have many people suffering from dysentery, diarrhea, and blood in their urine. It was discovered that the water was contaminated. The prisoners need medical treatments, but the illegally detained Falun Gong practitioners did not need any medicine. All the prisoners admired the supernormal power of Dafa. When a veteran prisoner saw Dafa practitioners give up the use of water for others (the hot and cold water supply were not sufficient), she also started to practice Falun Gong. In the detention center, I had the symptoms of high blood pressure, high fever, blue spots on my legs (symptoms of leukemia), heart palpitations, angina pectoris and lost consciousness several times. The detention center was afraid to take responsibility , so they fined me 1000 Yuan [500 Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China] without giving me a receipt, and released me after a month. My husband told the public security bureau about how my "incurable" diseases had disappeared after I practiced Falun Gong.

I have personally experienced the supernormal power and greatness of Dafa! I hope that more people will understand the truth, and deeply remember "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance" in their hearts.
