Indonesia Dafa Practitioners Demonstrate Falun Gong Exercises at National Sports Day and Receive an Award (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On December 10, 2002, Falun Dafa practitioners from Medan and North Sumatra Indonesia went to the People Consultative Assembly to clarify the truth about misleading propaganda spreading by Jiang's regime against Falun Dafa.

On December 15, Falun Dafa practitioners visited the Governor's office, and they were received by the head of the Youth and Sports Department. Dafa practitioners talked about Falun Dafa's wide spread since 1992 from China to currently over 60 countries in the world. They also introduced the five sets of gentle Falun Gong exercises and the principles of Falun Dafa, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance." The department head showed great interest in their introduction and invited the practitioners to hold an introductory workshop at the provincial government building.

On December 20, over 50 officials from the provincial government attended the workshop. The practitioners gave out flyers, played a slide show, and explained the facts about Dafa in detail. In the end, the officials were able to understand and accept us.

On December 22, the head of the Youth and Sports Department invited us to participate in the National Sports Day held in Lapangan Merdeka, where more than 1,000 people were in attendance. We demonstrated the exercises and introduced Falun Dafa to the participants. This event left a positive image of Falun Dafa for the people in Indonesia, especially in North Sumatra.

After the activity, we were given an award from the head of the Youth and Sport Department.
