Dafa practitioner Lu Zhifan of Wuchang City, Heilongjiang Province is illegally detained in Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp. Because he is firm in Dafa, he was brutally tortured to the point of injury by the policemen in Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp and then sent to Wanjia hospital for treatment. However Wanjia hospital did not treat Lu Zhifan, instead they hung him up and beat him, tortured him with electric batons, beat him on the head and poured dirty water on him. Lu Zhifan has been tormented so badly that he is unable to speak, and was once again sent back to the Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp.

The electric baton has become a common tool that policemen use to torture Dafa practitioners in Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp, Harbin City. Now they have started to use various new torture methods to persecute Dafa practitioners, one such method is called "five horses splitting the body". In this torture method a practitioner is hung up by the arms and legs, and pulled in four directions. Another policeman was laying practitioners on the ground and using a knife to scrape their scabies, inflicting severe pain on them and causing blood to flow everywhere. The sight was too horrible to look at. Everyday, they physically punish practitioners, forcing them to sit on a small backless stool, and not allowing them to move. As soon as they move, they will suffer even more brutal torture. Some Dafa practitioners are tormented so badly that their legs have become extremely swollen. They suffer from brutal torture everyday.

Dafa practitioners Liu Jinping and Zheng Donghui of Group 2 in Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp, Changchun City have been tormented to the point of suffocating under the persecution of group leaders and guards. They have been conducting a hunger strike to protest the persecution for nearly one month, their lives are in danger. We appeal to international human rights organizations for urgent attention to this matter.

Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp has used all means of physical punishment to forcibly brainwash practitioners. At the moment the there are 7 groups of practitioners with around 160 in each group. These practitioners are facing physical torture and mental forcible brainwashing; they are also forced to work more than 16 hours everyday. Some practitioners are tortured by police officers with electric batons, ten fingers stabbed with needles, sleep deprivation, etc because they will not give up their beliefs.

Dafa Practitioner Deng Yong of Yidu City, Hubei Province, was illegally arrested by the local "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.] He was illegally sentenced to reeducation through labor for one year.

Sun Shiquan, male, 40, is from Suizhong County, Liaoning Province. He was illegally detained and persecuted in Hulutao city reformatory for appealing in Beijing at the end of 2000. Sun suffered brutal torture many times for not giving up his belief, and then he was illegally detained for additional 4 months. In October 2001, Sun was forced to leave home to escape further persecution. In August 2002, Wang Fuchen and 4 policemen of Suizhong County went to the homes of Sun's relatives in Shenyang and Harbin, attempting to arrest him but failed to find him. On October 18, 2002, Hulutao City public security bureau issued a warrant to arrest Sun Shiquan and 3 other Dafa practitioners. The warrants were posted everywhere on main streets and small lanes, also advertised in newspaper, and big rewards were offered for their apprehension. In January 2003, Wang Fuchen and other policemen from Suizhong County went to Sun's house to arrest him 7 or 8 times, each time they had to jump over a wall to get in.

A fellow practitioner in Northern China received a phone call that sounded like an overseas practitioner calling to clarify the truth. During the conversation, he disclosed the fact that he was a practitioner, not long after that, he was arrested. There are two possibilities: 1. His phone was being monitored, but this practitioner was not the key surveillance object, therefore there would be a big possibility that the telecommunications department has used new technologies to monitor the entire telephone network. Or, 2. That kind of phone call was a trap intentionally set up by the public security.

Since the Chinese New Year, policemen of Sanhe City, Hebei Province have secretly monitored, arrested and brutally beaten practitioners and confiscated their homes. On February 10^th, a Dafa practitioner went out and went missing, this practitioner's whereabouts is still unclear. On February 14^th, Dafa practitioner Hao Yafen was arrested, Bai Lingxia was arrested on the 22^nd, Xiao Jin of Beijing Steel Machinery Factory was arrested on the 24^th.

Dafa Practitioner Hao Yafen of Yan suburb, Sanhe City, Hebei Province was arrested on February 14^th. She has been brutally tortured many times. However she did not cooperate with the evil, and kept clarifying the truth, practicing the exercises and conducted a hunger strike under this extremely painful situation. She terrified the evil and walked out the devil's lair after 7 days.

It has been reported, Beijing Chaoyang District authorities are arresting Dafa practitioners and attempting to run brainwashing classes. According to the information from Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp, policemen there force Dafa practitioners to sign the "Three Statements" written by the police.

The situation of various counties in Sichuan Neijiang City: two conferences close to the evil of Neijiang City became more frightened and crazy. Because 2 practitioners went to Beijing to appeal, police spent 80,000 Yuan [500 Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China.] to intercept them; eventually the mayor lost his position. The new mayor is even more frightened of losing his position, so he persecutes Dafa practitioners even more maniacally.
