Charles Li has been detained by the Chinese government for over 40 days. This news has affected so many practitioners. Act now, and help bring our fellow practitioner home. To gain the support of more Americans, Falun Gong practitioners from Michigan State University launched an urgent rescue signature collecting activity at the university's student activity center on March 5 and 6.

As soon as we set up the exhibition board "Help American Dr. Charles Li," it drew the attention of many students. They were very indignant to the Chinese government's action. Without hesitation, many people took up pens and signed their names. Some students immediately took stacks of flyers to help us spread the message. One student's parent passed by the activity center and saw our exhibition board. He carefully read the information and signed his name.

A mailman signed his name in the signature sheet, and expressed his deep concern over the matter. When we told him we would hurry to submit the signatures to the US government, he felt relieved and smiled. When students learned that there would be a rally to rescue Charles Li in front of the State Department in Washington DC several days later and their signature would be directly submitted to State Department officials, they expressed their support.

Practitioners also contacted the news editor of the school newspaper. She indicated that she would interview Charles Li's friend and render assistance on this matter. One Japanese student felt very bad after having seen the exhibition board. She signed her name on the last line.

In short two days, several hundreds of students and staff members signed the petition letters. We will work hard with the American people until Charles Li returns home.
