Determination -- Recollections of Dafa Practitioner Zhang Dezhen

(Clearwisdom.net) In October 2001, I met with Zhang Dezhen several times, usually at experience sharing meetings. The last time I met with her was when three of us shared experiences with fellow Dafa practitioners at a certain place. We were reported to the police by someone, and subsequently encircled. When the policemen called for more policemen to come, the other Dafa practitioner and I managed to escape, but Zhang Dezhen was illegally arrested, and sent to the Mengyin County Brainwashing Center. I felt sorry for sister Zhang. As time went on, I received news about her every now and then. However, I never thought that that would be our last time together.

Sister Zhang was very kind, very amiable with a soft voice. She seldom expressed her opinions, and had been submissive to other people. She looked so weak, we were afraid that someone would bully her.

Such a seemingly weak woman actually had an iron will. During the three years of the brutal persecution against Falun Gong, in such an inhuman environment, she acted without hesitation to aid our Teacher in the Fa-rectification. She moved forward bravely to protect Dafa without being influenced by ordinary people's views, even at the cost of her life.

Sister Zhang has left us, but I was deeply moved by what she had shown us. She showed us the sacredness and solemnity of Dafa. She showed us such firm belief in Dafa deep in her heart! Only Dafa could empower such a weak woman with such energy and tenacity! Through her life she showed the power of Dafa in this human world!

When thinking about the fellow Dafa practitioners around me, I am in awe of their greatness. Some of them lost their life for the benefit of other people. Some are still illegally detained. Some suffered many hardships. Some are full of kindness and honesty. Some have been very busy in doing Fa-rectification work. Some are selfless while taking heavy workloads. All are following our Teacher closely without hesitation.

The past is like a dream, but the righteous thoughts and actions of Dafa practitioners have shocked my heart. They are the sacred image of Dafa in this human world. I am proud of them. I shed my tears for them. The images of the fellow practitioners became indistinct through my tears.
