By a Dafa practitioner

(Clearwisdom.net) My husband is the head of a company. He has never said he believes in Gods, Buddhas or Daos, but he has supported me ever since I started the practice of Falun Gong because all of my diseases disappeared. The silly lies spread by Jiang's regime could not shake his righteous understanding of Dafa; in fact, he saw through their evil colors thoroughly, and showed even more respect towards Dafa. He also validated Dafa and protected Dafa practitioners whenever the opportunity arose.

Since he has worked in political circles for many years, he knows every detail of the Chinese communist party's tricks, laws and its history. So when clarifying the truth of Dafa, he can raise many convincing examples and numbers with his eloquent language to make it very persuasive. I feel like he speaks better than I do. Once, when he was in a barbershop, he said, "My wife practices Falun Gong. She is very healthy, and now looks younger."

When asked questions about Falun Gong, he said, "Falun Gong teaches people to be good and kind, and is very beneficial to the country. What's wrong with it? Right or wrong is not determined by a certain person or an organization, it's determined by the nature of the issue itself. I've never seen any examples like they show on the TV. What I see is that Falun Gong practitioners in many areas are healthy, with rosy complexions; they are kind and unselfish; and their spiritual realm is higher than we communist party members and officials. If all the Chinese leaders practiced Falun Gong, corruption would disappear. When all the people are kind, who will do wrong things?"

When asked about the self-immolation and killing cases, he said, "My wife wouldn't even hurt a mosquito. I have been in charge of the media for many years, and know the 'inside secrets' very well. If a local official would do something wrong to protect his post, you can imagine what a leader of a country would do for his own purpose." He also said, "With so many elderly and weak people, who are largely women, and with no power or weapons, how could they overthrow the government? Isn't this framing people? Who in our city or in neighboring areas have you seen that killed people? Our country is "first class" in having a lying media. Since China has a long history of feudalism, the masses are enslaved in serfdom. If an official is one level higher in rank, what he says becomes the law. Nobody dares to say 'no' on big issues. So you see, protecting oneself first, and then passively suffering the pains of the political currents, has become the guiding rule of people in China. People are so numb that they just ignore the apparent facts, and would rather accept the lies. What a pity! What a pity!" Since his speaking was clear and concise, people accepted his points.

Sometimes he made jokes with me, "I helped you to spread Dafa!" Then I would correct him, "Not for me, it's for yourself!"

On one of his trips to visit south China, some political officials were sickly and constantly taking medicine. They asked why was my husband so healthy and did not need any medicine. He said, "Manage what should be managed, ignore what should be ignored. With a peaceful and tranquil mind, nothing is difficult. By worrying less and working hard, your mind will be balanced." He also said, "The most foolish thing is to persecute Falun Gong. It's just like tearing down a foundation to strengthen the surface of a structure. Intimidating the weak and being afraid of the strong is not what men should do." He persuaded other people, "To persecute Falun Gong has wasted so much of your mind and energy and created stress in your body. How could you be healthy? We have seen all the political movements--the Cultural Revolution, the 6.4 event [referring to the democracy movement in Tiananmen Square], and all come to a conclusion later on. It's better to watch carefully at the sidelines."

One very weak person said, "I did not hurt Falun Gong in any way!" My husband asked him, "So have you forced them to curse their Teacher? Have you forced them to give up Falun Gong?" That person said, "Well, I have no control myself. I just followed orders then passed those orders on to my subordinates." My husband said, "There was Suntzu's art of war in the ancient time (ancient Asian "Ethics and Rules for Waging War and Battle" which respected the authority of those in charge without question), but now when we receive orders we apply them "flexibly." Not only do we deceive to protect the benefits of the masses, we also hide the facts to both the upper and lower levels. What sense does it make to force those Falun Gong practitioners whose diseases disappeared after practicing Falun Gong to quit, only to make them sick again? How can this be good for them?"

He also said, "The sky is above us, the road in front of us is long. It's not too late right now to stop your wrongdoing. It you force others too strictly, it's hard for you to stop even when you want to. If you're not too tough on others, then the sea is huge and the sky is vast. Store up your happiness and kindness, it will be helpful to your descendants. The heavens will record both good and evil." He caused many people to think for a long time.

When he was the head of a big company, he was in charge of the Falun Gong issue. Police officers went to his company many times. He talked with the policemen in a semi-joking manner, "All of them are employees in the company; just ignore them! It's an issue of belief, who knows who is right or wrong? As long as they do not cause trouble to you, then simply ignore them, and the upper level will praise you. The more cases you have exposed, the more passive you become. They do not break laws. If you arrest them, you just have to release them later. They are just working for a living, why bother pushing them so hard? They're just a group of women--not enemies--if you need signatures, I'll sign for you. You can ask me if any problems occur." Police had to stop the harassing. Later, he would simply ignore the requests from the policemen. Not one signature would be signed. If something happened among the families in the company, he would help to solve the issue. He told me, "It's strange, if you are afraid something bad may happen, then it happens. If you do not fear anything, then nothing happens."

I said, "That is because you have righteous thoughts, and our Teacher is protecting you." He pondered my words.
