(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner, Mr. Fu Zhiyu, from Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, was illegally arrested in July 2001 by the Tiefeng Police Substation in Qiqihar City and was wrongfully sentenced to a three-year term of re-education through forced labor. On February 13, 2002, Mr. Fu passed away due to the cruel persecution inflicted by the Fuyu County Forced Labor Camp in Heilongjiang Province.

It is known that police officers of Fuyu Force Labor Camp often mistreat Falun Dafa practitioners by depriving them of sleep or forcing them to stand for long periods of time etc.. In October 2001, all practitioners jailed in the labor camp were terribly bruised and beaten. Some were injured so badly that they were sent to the hospital for immediate treatment. The labor camp blocked the news of the beatings, for more than 40 days and neither allowed family members to visit. After it was exposed, they instigated criminal inmates to torture practitioners. They also usually gave practitioners food, which was barely edible. The head criminal inmate in charge also controlled practitioners' savings.We appeal to the international community to rescue the Dafa practitioners who are unlawfully imprisoned in the Fuyu Forced Labor Camp and stop this kind of persecution. We would also like to call upon fellow practitioners to send forth righteous thoughts together, in order to eliminate all evil factors in other dimensions of the Fuyu Forced Labor Camp that are persecuting Dafa and Dafa practitioners.

Till the present moment, three Dafa practitioners in Qiqihar City have been tortured to death. They are: Fu Zhiyu, Wang Baoxian (who were persecuted by the Fuyu Forced Labor Camp), and Cao Lianyi (persecuted by the Second Detention Center of Qiqihar City, further investigations are needed.)
