Italy: The Great Changes in the Attitudes of Chinese People

(Clearwisdom.net) Once I went to a city in central Italy to give out materials revealing the truth about Falun Dafa to the Chinese residents there. I hoped to help them see through the vicious shield of lies created by Jiang Zemin to cover his own wicked deeds in China and spread them to people all over the world. I bumped into a young Chinese man whom I had met before at the Chinese Consulate in Milan. "How come you're here?" he asked with enthusiasm upon seeing me, as if we were close friends. I laughed and replied, "Well, how come you're here?" He said seriously to me, "We are different. I came for survival while you come for the truth."

Another experience happened in this same city in central Italy. When a practitioner handed a newspaper created by practitioners to a Chinese person sitting by the roadside, the person responded immediately, "All my factory staff have seen it. We all know that Falun Gong is good while the communist party is extremely evil. I will keep the newspaper for others to read. Many of us like to read the newspaper because it tells the truth."

In another city, I passed by an office run by a Chinese organisation. I saw many people there when I walked in to give some leaflets and Video-CDs. In front of many people in the office, a deputy chairman told me very politely that he knew the truth because he had seen the Video-CD before. He asked us to leave more materials there so that his colleagues could "study" them. Practitioners used to organise large-scale Dafa activities for the Chinese community in this city. Some Chinese people were asked to take photos of the practitioners for the Jiang regime. Now these people turned to our fellow practitioners, asking for the Dafa books and claiming, "I will return those photos to you. I will not use them for bad things. I'd like to learn Dafa because I find the people who practise Dafa are all highly cultivated, not bad like the communist party's propaganda described. Why would so many people learn if it was evil? Furthermore, these people will not give up under any kind of suppression. I want to learn too. My health condition may become better as well." Being misled by the Jiang regime's propaganda, a restaurant owner said bad words while practitioners were telling people about Dafa. Practitioners explained the truth to him several times. One day when we dined at his restaurant, he specifically came to us and explained, "I misunderstood you before. Please do not take my words too seriously."

Once at a shop located in the Milan Chinese district, I went to hand out materials to a person but he refused to take it. Unexpectedly, the shop owners spoke to him: "Take a look at it! Falun Gong is great! Don't be fooled. Falun Gong can improve one's health and allow them to become a good person. I have read all of Master Li's books. It does teach people to behave well, to tolerate others, to be compassionate and not to lie to others. I want to practise too. Falun Gong truly has no political intention. All the Falun Gong practitioners are educated people." I did not even have a chance to say a word at that time. It seemed that the couple explained more properly than I could. The person who did not take my material at first, then took my material right away and kept saying thanks.

One final experience happened at another Chinese shop in Milan. I met two Chinese ladies and gave them some materials. One of them turned me down and complained that Falun Gong messed with the Chinese New Year party by creating noise through amplifiers. I asked her, "Do you really believe what you just said?" I explained to her I was there in person as a Falun Gong practitioner. I also heard the noise caused by the organiser's own problems. I asked her to recall the incident and not be fooled by others. Later on, she realised the truth and said to me, "Those people who made up the lies were really immoral. I am lucky to meet you. Otherwise I would have misunderstood you. I apologise for my misunderstanding you. I will inform other people about the facts." At the same place, I also showed other people some photos of Dafa practitioners being persecuted. I told them that this is how our fellow countrymen are being persecuted by our home country. With sorrow and compassion, they looked at them and kept on saying, "Too brutal! This is not right!"
