(Clearwisdom.net) I am a worker who has been laid off. In May 1994, a healthy person like me suddenly had a stroke and half of my body became paralyzed. I spent 30,000 Yuan in the hospital in only 4 months. My two children also needed money to go to school. Suddenly the family burden fell onto my wife's shoulders. I could not take care of myself until 1995. My situation improved a little from 1996 to 1997. When I was walking, I stumbled a lot. I could not stretch out my arms. I was really depressed and spoke less each day. In order to help support the family, my daughter chose to quit school. In order to make money to repay the debt and treat my disease, my wife and daughter learned to do repair work and were barely able to keep the business running. Each year I spent over 3,000 Yuan solely on medicine. I visited other areas looking for experts or qigong masters to treat my disease, however, none of them could help much. During the four-year period, my wife and daughter gave me massages six times a day every day. Although we have a business, it was still difficult to make ends meet and repaying the debt was even out of the question. I often cried and even thought about death.

In August 1998, a neighbor introduced Falun Gong to me. When I first learned the exercises, my left arm was stiff. When I did the "Falun Standing Stance", my raised left hand would unknowingly dropped down. I then raised it up again after noticing it. The situation continued for 4 days, and I was finally able to hold the position and freely do the five sets of exercises. A miracle happened from that day. I began to walk normally, and became energetic and outgoing. When work was busy, I could also help my family doing repairs. From then on, I no longer needed any medicine. Seeing my improvement, my wife and children began the practice as well. Now five years have passed, and my health has been restored. Those who knew me also noticed that I had completely become a different person. They were all happy for me and also understood that Falun Dafa is good.

Since I started cultivation, I have kept in mind Master's teaching and try to always measure myself with a cultivator's standard. When there is a conflict, I do my best to conduct myself with a cultivator's standard.

My business site is near a major highway, and the road suffered from lack of repairs for a few years so it was in bad condition. When vehicles passed, there were often things dropping out of them. Before I obtained the Fa, although my health was not good, my attachment to property was serious. I often picked up things in front of my door like wheelbarrows, food, heating material, etc. After I obtained the Fa and before the road was repaired, I had one more experience.

It was one month after I started cultivation. My son found a handbag in front of our door and there was 450 Yuan inside. The owner searched around anxiously. He was disappointed and reluctantly drove away. Then my son whispered, "I got the bag and have stored it." I immediately said, "My son, why did not you tell me earlier? Please stop the owner and give it back to him." The owner received the bag and said gratefully, "Thank you, thank you so much. I have really met good people today. I was on my way to buy fertilizer." As he talked, he took out 50 Yuan to express his gratitude so that I could buy some cigarettes. I refused. I told him that I have learned Falun Gong and it was Master Li who told me to do this. If this happened before, I might have not done what I did today. I would have felt that it would be a loss if I did not take the bag and this would also not be stealing. My wife learned this afterwards and said, "Although the 450 Yuan were not very much, much effort and hard work were needed to earn it. We should return the money to the owner." It is indeed true that one person obtains the Fa and the whole family will benefit from it. This was the first experience after I obtained the Fa.

In my daily work, I often encounter customers from out of town. Before I obtained the Fa, I often wanted to charge them 8 or 10 extra Yuan. When I started my cultivation, I felt this should not be a cultivator's conduct and felt bad about it. I should treat people equally while serving the people. I have worked more diligently after obtaining the Fa. I charge the same amount to different customers and have left good impressions for returning customers. I often tell the customers about the benefits I obtained through cultivating Dafa. After the persecution began, I continue to clarify the facts to every person I have contact with. All customers from local or other areas know I practice Falun Gong. When we saw each other, they would greet me with "Falun Dafa Hao." (Falun Dafa is good) I felt very good that these people have come to know the facts.

Before April 25^th, there were over 20 Dafa practitioners at our practice site, and we used to study the Fa in a fellow practitioner's home. After the April 25^th event, some practitioners had unstable understandings in their minds due to all sorts of reasons. This resulted in three Fa study sites becoming no longer available. This caused difficulties for practitioners to study the Fa and share their experiences. In order to study the Fa, share experiences with each other and strive forward together, I took the initiative and repaired my old house. This was for fellow practitioners to study the Fa and improve together. Soon after that, Jiang's regime started their furious persecution against Dafa and the vicious attack on Teacher, and damaged practice sites all over the country. I felt this was very unjust. Such a good cultivation system was attacked with rumors, and the flunkies in power were so outrageous and vicious. My heart was deeply hurt by the malicious rumors. I had no hesitation and set foot on the way to Beijing to appeal, to validate that Dafa is good. I brought with me the facts of both my physical and mental health improvement after I had begun the practice. During that period, they setup stops placed at certain distances along the way where they searched for Dafa practitioners, foraging through passengers' bags and producing terror.

I didn't have any attachment of fear at that time. In order to arrive in Beijing to go to the National Appeals Office, I did not expose my identity and only thought about arriving in Beijing as soon as possible. I also thought about the situation at that time. I was reminded that my life was given to me by Teacher and Dafa. In order to validate Dafa, I should uphold it with my life. I did not have any other thought except this in my mind. I only wished to reason with them. Practitioners who went to Beijing to appeal were from every part of the country. All the hostels in Beijing were full, so I had to sleep on the street. The plain-clothes police, policemen and special agents were arresting people everywhere, and they started to arrest Dafa practitioners throughout Beijing as of 2:00 a.m. on July 23. The policemen woke me up to interrogate me. I told them my health situation before, and my improvement after I practiced Dafa. I also told them it was wrong for the government to treat Dafa like this, and I came to Beijing simply to tell the government that Falun Gong is good. Hearing my words, the policemen seemed to be touched. However half an hour later, they still escorted me along with more than 20 practitioners to Fengtai Stadium. The whole stadium was full of practitioners who had gone to Beijing to appeal. Each province and city had its own allocated sites. Within several days, practitioners were brought in with specials vans, and special vehicles from each region would take practitioners away. It was a conveyor system and hard to estimate how many people were involved.

During the three days of detention, I was not even allowed to drink any water. July 1999 was the hottest period in Beijing's midsummer, the temperature was as high as 40 degrees Celsius (104F), but no practitioner felt hungry, thirsty, or hot. Practitioners from each region were all meditating in their allocated areas. I have never witnessed such fearless, grand and heroic spectacle facing such furious persecution. This fully exhibited the grandeur of Fa-rectification cultivation.

On July 26, the city police department took us back to our city. At that time over 30 fellow practitioners were detained, and all reasoned with the policemen, "We have done nothing wrong, it was you who made the mistake." However they did not allow us to speak and they were unreasonable. They asked me if I would still practice. I knew Dafa was good and I would never give it up during my whole life. But under their threats, I should not have said that I had Dafa books, Teacher's lecture tapes and exercise tapes. Eventually these were confiscated by the police and I felt deep regrets.

After detaining us for a week, they had to let us go home. They forced the staff of my work unit to illegally monitor me for 24 hours a day, and further threatened, "Don't go out, even to go shopping you need to ask for approval." At that time those who did not know the truth were all talking about this, as if we had committed serious crimes. The everyday people feared us a lot. Only us practitioners knew that Dafa is good and we felt no qualms upon self-examination. Therefore we were not fearful while the everyday people felt puzzled.

Several days later, more than a dozen people from several different government departments and the local TV station came to me. They asked me to talk about my understanding of Dafa in front of the camera. Once again I told them how greatly I benefited from Dafa and how I became a better person after practicing. There were more than 100 people at the interview scene, and they were all touched and understood the benefits of Dafa after listening to me. At the end of the interview, I said I would keep practicing Dafa. After they recorded the interview once, the reporter shook his head and said this was not good enough and we had to do it again. It was not good after the second and third time. They were very disappointed that they could not get anything from me to make a program slandering Dafa. Finally I said, "Oh, will you be satisfied if I said I will not practice and appeal for Falun Gong?" Everybody at the scene laughed, even they laughed too. However, they recorded what I just said. They said they would alter our interview a little bit. I knew they would deceive the public the way they always do by altering my conversation out of context. They came back about an hour later, recorded my work place where I was working, and also the nameplate of my shop, saying they would provide free advertisement for me. However, everyone who knew how ill I was before I practice Dafa was not deceived by the lies. Rather they learned the benefits of Dafa.

Whenever it was a holiday or other sensitive days, they came and harassed and threatened me once or twice on that day. I was never afraid when they came, and instead viewed it as great opportunities for me to tell them the truth about Dafa. Two days before the New Year of 2000, three police officers and two officials from my former work unit visited me again. I said I was ill for so many years and no one from the government came to visit me at all. Now that I practiced Falun Gong and have fully recovered, so many people "cared" about me. Falun Gong is great, making me know so many people. A police officer said he felt embarrassed to come see me. I said, "Don't feel bad, it is good that you came talk to me." They were all embarrassed at that point of time.

One day in June 2000, in order to expose the evil, tell the truth about and validate Dafa, Dafa practitioners in our city and I hanged up more than 200 banners saying "Falun Dafa is good," "Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa" and "Truth, Benevolence, Forbearance." We posted about 100 Dafa posters and distributed more than 60 truth-clarifying DVD's. This event effectively shocked the evil. The evil panicked afterwards and went after every Dafa practitioner in our city. Four people from the City Police Department came to get me, and I took the opportunity to tell them the truth about Dafa. The evil police interrupted me saying, "If you behave like this, we will sentence you for at least three years, come with us!" They searched my residence and arrested me. I told them, "I did not do anything wrong. Dafa gave me a new life. I will not regret it even if I have to sacrifice my life for Dafa. All I wanted to do was let more people know Dafa is good."

Teacher told us, "Why should you, a Dafa disciple, fear the evil ones when enduring persecution? The crux of the matter is that you have attachments. If not, do not endure passively, and face the evil people with righteous thoughts at all times. No matter what the situation, do not cooperate with the evil's demands, orders, or what it instigates." (Dafa Disciples' Righteous Thoughts are Powerful) A police chief acted viciously and wanted to beat me. I remembered I had to behave according to the Fa's guidance under any circumstances and the outcome relied on my righteous thoughts. Therefore I sent forth righteous thoughts in front of the evil policeman, and it was really powerful! The police chief just said, "You, you," and turned around and left the room. Another police said to me, "Go back to your work." As a result, I left the police station safely.

At the end of 2001, the evil came to visit me again. I knew they were just doing what they were told to do, and it was another great opportunity for me to tell them the truth. They were willing to listen to me this time. At the end, they asked me to write down my understanding. I wrote down clearly: Be a better person and never cheat, the righteous is righteous, the evil is evil, the evil will never overcome the righteous.

At this last moment of eliminating the evil and telling the truth, we have to realize how limited the time we have. We should do well the three things Teacher told us to do, reading Zhuan Falun more, telling the truth at every opportunity, and sending forth righteous thoughts in a timely manner to eliminate the evil in other dimensions. The moment of Fa rectifying the human world is coming soon.
