Story of My Husband Beginning to Practice Falun Dafa

I began to practice Falun Dafa in 1996. Beforehand, I had many diseases, and took medicine year in and year out. After I began to practice Falun Dafa, these diseases vanished. My husband also benefited both physically and mentally. I believe when a person practices, the entire family will benefit.

One day in late September 1997, my husband's hands felt cool and numb. Then his four limbs would not move. Half of his body could not move. He was sent to the hospital. Early the next morning, however, he was miraculously able to walk (He was diagnosed with a stroke.).

Teacher said in Lecture Six of Zhuan Falun: "With cerebral thrombosis, how could one walk around and move both arms and legs again so quickly?" I knew it was because I cultivated Dafa that he also benefited. I told this to him and my child. My child believed it, but at that time my husband did not.

Since then, my husband has suffered from a stroke once or twice every year, but the symptoms have become lighter and lighter every time. He told our relatives and friends that after I practiced Falun Gong, I had a healthy body, did not need to take any medicine and was energetic. Dafa is really good!

After July 20, 1999, when Jiang's regime started to relentlessly suppress Falun Gong, my husband still dared to let me play the tape recorder at high volume to listen to Teacher's taped lectures and practice the Falun Dafa exercises, but he did not understand why I went out to clarify the truth.

On February 9, 2002, his hands became paralyzed again. He was sent to a hospital. This time, no matter what treatment he was given, it was not effective. The index finger on his right hand just could not extend normally. Five days later, I asked the doctor about his condition. The doctor replied that all examinations showed everything was normal. I was very puzzled. Afterwards I suddenly remembered the truth-clarification material pasted on my house door was torn away by someone. My child asked him whether it was he that had torn it down. He said yes. I asked him which hand tore it away. He said, "I used this crooked index finger to peel it off and tear it down." My child and I all understood. I told him at once, "This is retribution. When I practice, you also benefit from it. You do not appreciate my Teacher's compassion, instead, you went against Dafa. This is not allowed by the heavenly principles. You should admit your mistakes to Teacher." He understood his own mistakes. My child and I gave him Zhuan Falun to read. On the second day, his right hand was able to extend fully. This time, he thoroughly understood.

Afterwards, he picked up Zhuan Falun to read himself. My child and I read the entire book to him first. Then he, a man who did not know many words, was unexpectedly able to read the whole book all by himself. This is really miraculous. Now he reads the book and sends forth righteous thoughts every day. He also saw glittering golden lights at his hands and feet. I told him that this is the encouragement from Teacher and that he should strive forward vigorously.
