US Senator Dianne Feinstein Is Concerned about the Detention of Charles Li in China

an American citizen from Menlo Park, California, who was recently detained in
China.á I appreciate hearing from you and welcome the opportunity to
respond. I understand the concerns raised in your letter.á I have reviewed the
information regarding Mr. Li's detention and have closely examined State
Department reports on his health and living conditions at the Yangzhou Detention
Center. I have raised Mr. Li's case with the acting governor of Jiangsu Province,
Liang Baohua, and the head of the Jiangsu Provincial Public Security Bureau, Pei
Xizhang, urging them to review the case and inform me of the charges and
circumstance surrounding his arrest. Please know that I understand the seriousness of the situation and will
