Many other practitioners were tortured to different degrees for refusing to write the "three statements." Instead they used the paper to write down facts about Falun Dafa. Some were forced to squat, then tied and hung by their wrists. Their legs were covered with blisters from the rope that tied up their legs. Practitioners who refused to answer questions were forced to sit on small stools from five in the morning until midnight every day. They were forced to remain completely still, and if they moved even slightly they were beaten.

Female practitioners who were tortured included Zhou Hua, Lu Zaoping, Sun Lizhi, Sun Rui, Wang Shuhua, Wang Shurong, Liu Shuqing and Lu Huiwen. Their terms in the forced labor camp had expired, but were extended from one to three months.

Vicious policeman Zhang Xiaochu handcuffed female Dafa practitioners to a metal chair, took off their cotton-padded jackets, opened the windows and shouted, "I will freeze you to death. With the support of the government I don't really care if you want to sue me."
