An Elderly Couple is Beaten and Their Home Looted

In 1997, I was very sick with an incurable disease. At that time, my family was also very poor. I had lost hope and wanted to die.

But I was destined to learn Falun Dafa later. Before learning Falun Dafa, I needed a person to help me to move around. However, I could already do some light physical work on the fourth day after learning Falun Dafa exercises. On the sixth day, I was able to ride a bicycle. One month later, I was able to take my wife to see her doctor. Two months after I learned Dafa, I was able to sell vegetables. In the third month, I could load water and fertilizer to irrigate our farm. Since then, I have been determined to practice Dafa and my wife has also begun to practice.

On July 20, 1999, Dafa suffered persecution, I felt as if a knife were piercing my heart. So my wife and I went to Beijing to validate Dafa in June 2000. Both of us were arrested in Beijing. My wife was sent to a female jail where she was beaten until she became unconscious by evil policemen. However, the policemen said that she was pretending to be unconscious, so they picked her up and beat her again.

I was sent to a men's jail where I was beaten and deprived of sleep. They also painfully pinched my nipples and forced me to run laps, to stay in a squatting position, to stand barefooted on burning charcoal, etc. Policemen and wardens tried to extort money from me. They gave me only two pieces of plain cornbread each day, but they charged me 150 Yuan for three days of six pieces of cornbread per day. When officers from my hometown came to take me home, I checked the bill with the policemen and wardens present. The policemen had to ask the wardens to give 100 Yuan back to me.

After I was taken back to our local police station, the policemen confiscated all of my cash and hit me in the face. My face became blue and swollen. On the same day, they took me home and then looted my home. They took everything, even my son's marriage picture. I said to them "why are you taking my son's picture away?" Then they left the picture. Later, they took me back to the police station again.

One month later, my wife and I were released from a detention center. When we got home, we were shocked by what we saw (The house belongs to my son. My son and his wife have been working in another city and have not lived there for the past few years. My wife and I take care of the house for my son.).

All of the doors in the house were forced open and removed, including the bathroom door and the front iron-door. They took two bicycles, two tape-players, two TV sets, a standing cabinet, a desk, a high-pressure cooking pot, a big wooden trunk, a baby-cart, all of the family members' clothes, all of the bedding, a small iron pan from our kitchen, all of our aluminum pots, all of our plates, a broken set of fire-tongs, a three-leg large table, a small table, a child's bench, a steel rod and a broken cart. Even washing detergent was stolen. They took away everything they could carry, and smashed everything that they could not carry with them.

From our storage room, over 1000 kilograms of millet and wheat was stolen. They took all of our vegetable seeds which had just been harvested from the field. They also took away wine-rice, food-rice and beans from jars and even smashed the empty jars. They broke our wall-lamps, too.

Of most concern is that they stole my son and daughter-in-law's clothing and gold-necklaces which were worth 4000~5000 Yuan [Approximately 10-months salary of an average Chinese urban worker.]

Later, my neighbor told me, "It was just like the time when those Japanese soldiers came into villages to steal everything away."

After that, we were illegally arrested a couple more times and suffered more persecution. However, we overcame the tribulations with our firm faith in Dafa.

Reporter's Note: This is one of the cases where we collected evidence to sue the head of the persecution. In view of the situation in China, we don't show the sufferers' name. However, the victims and people from their village are willing to testify to this issue.
