Approximately 2,000 Dafa Practitioners Face Extreme Tortures in Wangcun Labor Camp in Shandong Province
(Clearwisdom.net)
Zhuang Qi, a male of 50 years of age, was a chauffeur for the Chunliang Oil
Extraction Factory in Boxing, Shandong Province. Since he refused to follow the
demands of his captors to recant his belief in Falun Dafa, he was illegally
sentenced to three years of forced labor. In the first half of 2002, Zhuang was
taken to the Wangcun Labor Camp in Zibo City, Shandong Province (also known as
No. 2 Labor Camp in Shandong Province). Persistent in his faith in Falun Dafa in
the labor camp, he suffered cruel tortures and persecution from Jing Xucheng,
Sun Fengjun, Song Weizhong, Liu Hongdong, Song Changrong, and other policemen.
These tortures included long periods of handcuffing behind the back, the tiger
bench (a kind of torture, see illustration on
http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2001/11/24/16156.html), punching
the ribs, sleep deprivation, and smashing wooden stools against his chest and
back. Zhuang Qi is presently still detained in the labor camp and suffering
persecution.
Zhang Lianbin, a male 28 years of age, was a business owner from Laiwu City,
Shandong Province. He was caught distributing Falun Dafa truth clarifying
materials and illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor. He has been
incarcerated in Wangun Labor Camp since the first half of 2002. Because he
refused to write the so called "thoughts and understandings" that denigrate
Falun Dafa, he suffered cruel torture and persecution from Jing Xucheng, Sun
Fengjun, Song Weizhong, Jiang Ning, Liu Hongdong, Song Changrong, and other evil
policemen. These tortures included having soft parts of his body brutally beaten
(this torture is extreme: it causes excruciating pain but leaves few marks
behind, making it look like the beating was not severe), being denied warm
clothing in even the coldest weather, secret torture while in solitary
confinement, and sleep deprivation. Presently, Zhang Lianbin is forced to sit on
a "strict control stool," which is less than 2.5 inches wide, in the piercing
cold wind everyday. He is then forced to endure brainwashing until very late at
night.
Zhao Youqiang, a male of 30 years of age, from Taian City, Shandong Province,
graduated from a technical secondary school and is a Top Tier Cook (a
certification granted by the country). Because he participated in clarifying the
truth of the persecution of Falun Gong to people, he was illegally forced to
three years in a labor camp. In December 2001, he was sent to Wangun Labor Camp.
Since Zhao announced that he would not give up Falun Dafa, he suffered from
cruel torture by policemen and collaborators (people who used to practice Dafa,
but who succumbed to brainwashing and torture and joined in the persecution).
Some of the persecution he suffered consisted of having soft parts of his body
beaten, hanging by handcuffs, sticking thumbtacks into the fingers, torture in
solitary confinement, etc. Zhao Youqiang is still detained in the labor camp
suffering extreme persecution.
Note: The labor camp practices an isolation tactic. Dafa practitioners do not
have the freedom to interact with one another. Their every action is watched,
including eating, sleeping, and even using the restroom. The lens of the
security camera is ever present, always targeting the practitioners. This is why
detailed information of Dafa practitioners is so difficult to obtain. For some
practitioners, we know only their names, and for other practitioners we only
know their ages or places of residency. For some practitioners, we only know
what persecution they have suffered from but do not know their names or other
information. Some practitioners, when brought to the labor camp, were
immediately locked up in windowless cells. People outside can only hear their
grisly, bloodcurdling cries.
Some practitioners were shocked with eight electric batons at the same time.
Some had their clothes ripped off and then were forced to stand in the cold. It
is not known where some were sent after they were "pronounced insane." Some were
beaten so badly that they could not control their bowels and bladders. Some were
deprived of sleep for more than a week and were almost on the brink of mental
breakdown. Some were forced to labor until they would faint and fall down on the
ground from exhaustion. Some were thrown onto the ground and then hysterically
punched and kicked. Some had their meals taken and were not allowed to eat. Some
had their teeth knocked out during force-feeding.
Listed below are some practitioners whose names and addresses are the only
things we know. Their overall circumstances are not very clear. They have all
suffered, or are suffering the tortures mentioned above, or other unknown, evil
methods of torture.
They all are from Shandong Province except Zheng Zhongqi, who is from Hebei
Province.
