Letter from a Reader: His Sufferings Are Beyond My Imagination

Dear Dafa Practitioners:

I am not a Dafa cultivator, but I am a beneficiary of Falun Dafa because my ex-husband is a cultivator. Compared with you, I feel ashamed that I was so selfish and lacked the backbone to face the evil. Today I am so excited to read an article that urges people to write about the experience of being persecuted. My ex-husband has been sentenced and is now in the third jail of Shenyang (in Liaoning Province). I know he is a great man. He has a broad mind and is always considerate of others. He never yields to the evil, so I respect him so much. I want to do something for him, and maybe it is an opportunity to write something for him now. There are many things that I don't understand, but I do know he should not be imprisoned in jail. He should have a normal life, so that more people will benefit from his kindness and more people will feel the life is so wonderful because of his existence. He has experienced more tribulation than I can imagine. Here I just try to remember something so that my conscience can feel a bit easier.

From April 25 to July 20, 1999, the heads of his workplace talked with him several times. Because he didn't want to worry me, he didn't divulge what they said. After July 20, he went to appeal in Beijing to defend his belief in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." His workplace often held brainwashing classes for him and disallowed him to go home during festivals and holidays. Sometimes he was sent to the detention center. At the end of December 2000, he was sent to jail after he went to appeal in Beijing again. Later he was sentenced to 3 years of forced labor education. In labor camp he protested by hunger strike and other forms, and then he was sent to jail as a criminal. He was sentenced to 5 years in prison in late 2002.

No one but he can tell his whole experience. Here I can only simply say something I know and do a very little bit to try to get back the justice for him.

Finally I would like to say to you sincerely, that you have been working hard and you are the most extraordinary people in the world.
