Re: Falun Gong

Dear Prime Minister,

It has come to my attention that the annual session of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights is being held in Geneva until April 21, 2003

On behalf of the Service Employees International Union Canada, I am requesting that the government of Canada table a resolution regarding China's human rights abuses with specific mention of Falun Gong.

Prime Minister, thank you for the initiatives you have already taken to help Falun Gong practitioners. Canada was the first to speak up on behalf of those being persecuted. We believe it is important to continue to send a clear message to the President of China with respect to this issue.

Yours very truly,

Sharleen Stewart

International Canadian Vice-President
