The Spring Festival is a holiday of family reunions. Since her husband (a Dafa practitioner) was forced to become destitute and homeless [to avoid being persecuted] and couldn't spend the New Year's holiday at home with her, a female Dafa practitioner did not feel good. Her relatives didn't want to mention this and cause her more sadness, but she still did not forget to clarify the facts to her relatives. On the afternoon of the fourth day of the New Year, her brother's family, who work elsewhere, would soon be leaving. She thought, "I have to tell them the truth about Falun Dafa." At noon, she wrote a note in her room with tears in her eyes, full of mercy. The note said, "Hello brother, sister-in-law, nephew, and niece. I know that you love me. And I also love you. Please remember that Falun Dafa is good." But how should she give it to them? At the moment, somebody knocked at her door. When she opened the door she saw her brother. She took out the note and gave it to her brother with tears in her eyes. Her brother's eyes clouded after seeing it, and he asked about her husband with kind concern.

Another practitioner took some truth-clarification materials out to the street to distribute them. At that moment, a young lady was coming up on a bike with her child. How should he give her the truth materials? At this time, the balloon in the child's hand fell down on the ground. The young lady said to the practitioner, "Could you help me pick up the balloon?" This practitioner picked up the balloon for her, and took out a copy of truth-clarification materials to give her, together with the balloon. The lady hastily said, "Thank you! Thank you!" There was now another person with a predestined relationship knowing the truth.

From these two examples, I have a deeper understanding of what Teacher said, "...when we clarify the truth to save them, we need to tailor it to the mindsets modern people have." ("Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida, U.S.A.")

A female practitioner planned to distribute truth-clarification materials to other villages during the night. As she left, she told her family, "I will come back in one and one-half hours." Actually, the round-trip distance to her destination was an hour long, and it would be too tight a schedule for her to travel back and forth on the potholed, hilly road at this dark night and to deliver the documents to several villages. On the road, she felt as if there was somebody pushing her. She asked her son, who accompanied her, "Are you pushing the bike?" Her son said, "No, I'm sitting on the bike!" She delivered all of the truth clarification materials smoothly. After she came home, she saw that the clock showed exactly one and a half hours had elapsed. It is really true that "...righteous thoughts display the might of Gods." ("New Year's Greetings from Master")

On the first working day after the Spring Festival, it is natural to pay a New Year's call upon friends. A practitioner was feeling bad, and absent-minded, since her husband was forced into destitution and was homeless. At that moment, a company leader pushed open the door of her office to come to pay her and her colleagues a New Year's call. Still absent-minded, the practitioner didn't say anything to the leader. Later she realized that her not greeting the leader (who in the past understood and was sympathetic toward Dafa practitioners) might cause some misunderstanding and thus prevent him from being saved. One day, she found an opportunity to explain to that leader the reason why that day she was quiet. This leader understood very much and said, "Don't mind it. Please tell me if you need any help in the future."

Teacher told us to "Try your best to cultivate by conforming to the way of everyday people." ("Lecture at the Fa-Conference in Canada, Toronto, May 23, 1999") We should clarify the truth in a manner that ordinary people can accept and understand. "Dafa is harmonizing all sentient beings, and all sentient beings are also harmonizing Dafa." ("Expounding on the Fa" in Essentials For Further Advancement)

A female practitioner was forced to become destitute and homeless after she walked out of a brainwashing class using righteous thoughts. Later, she was pregnant, and nearing her delivery date. Her mother-in-law wanted her to go home to have the baby. Her mother-in-law said that she asked the government and found that her name was not on the list [of practitioners to be brainwashed]. "It's going to be ok. A pregnant woman should be taken care of even if she is arrested!" This practitioner believed this and went home. As a result, a short while later, the evil policemen arrested the pregnant practitioner and her husband and took them to the brainwashing center in the city. Her father-in-law couldn't bear the enormous pressure, and died.

In Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A. Master said,

"Absolutely don't think about any favors the old forces might do for us, or about how the ordinary society might help us ... Since you're Dafa disciples, you shouldn't put your hopes in so-called "natural" changes, external changes, changes in the ordinary society, or in some favors that someone might do for us. You are Gods, and you are the future rulers of different cosmoses, so who would you count on? All the beings are counting on you!"

None but Master and Dafa could protect us. We have to "...follow the requirements of Dafa and the Fa-rectification. 'I absolutely will not acknowledge any of those things you arranged in the past, old forces. I don't even acknowledge you.'"

There is female practitioner who does not pay attention to details. When her sister and sister-in-law came to visit her, she didn't take the initiative to cook dinner for them as she thought that being the younger sister excused her from this formality. Her sister-in-law told other practitioners afterwards, "Look at you people who practice Falun Gong. Falun Gong practitioners claim to be good people, but she wouldn't even cook for us!"

Master said, "...it's possible that one sentence or one action of yours will make them unsavable or create a bad impression of Dafa." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Boston")

When we clarify the truth to our relatives, it is not enough that we just let them know the facts. We need to let them truly see the might of Dafa using our righteous thoughts, righteous words, and righteous actions.

One day, a practitioner told me a story: There was an ordinary person in our place who enjoyed seeing justice done. He always liked defending someone against an injustice. He often talks about these bad people and the bad situations everywhere he goes. Furthermore, he speaks lively and vividly and easily attracts other people. Everyday people enjoy seeking novelty, so they like to listen to him. One day, this person who liked to talk visited with everyone. He talked about the truth that he read from a Dafa flyer saying, "Jiang XX was sued overseas due to his persecuting Falun Gong!" The speaker told the story with much conviction, and everyone listened very attentively.

Everyday people commonly like to show off, and are curious. In respect of this, we should help them to contribute to the spreading of Dafa. This would give them a chance to solidify their position in the Fa-rectification. For example, when we have new Dafa truth clarification documents, we should make sure that the "eloquent speakers" who have righteous thoughts receive them. They will then tell other people about the truth of Dafa.
