Some Understandings About Charles Li's Case after Speaking with Journalists and Government VIPs

Never get trapped by little details.

Many people ask, "What did Charles do? Did he really bring the equipment they claim he did?"

I think that we should help people to see the larger picture rather than focusing on smaller details, such as the accusations made by Jiang's regime. The accusations are not what is most important because they are usually groundless, using all sorts lies to cover up their illegal persecution of Falun Gong.

An American lawyer said, "The purpose of bringing a lawsuit against someone is to prove that this person has committed crime. It is not for the defendant to prove he or she is innocent." "China is persecuting all the Falun Gong practitioners. This has already violated the Chinese constitution. It is illegal."

Some practitioners had suggested to find out and speak out about the kind of Dafa work that Charles participated in to explain why Jiang's regime wants to persecute him. My personal understanding is that we should not do this. Charles is now in the hands of the Party, and we should not rely on chance. Falun Gong practitioners do not need to prove why Jiang's regime wants to persecute Charles, because the fact is that the Jiang's regime is persecuting all Falun Gong practitioners, and Charles is only one among the tens of millions of Falun Gong practitioners who are being persecuted.

Charles Li's case is only one part of the persecution of Falun Gong by Jiang's regime. This time, it has extended to an American citizen. Therefore, I think we need to expose the nature of the persecution. Our basic purpose is for Charles Li's release, but it is not our only purpose. We need to take this opportunity to clarify the truth to people more thoroughly and extensively.

Jiang's famous policy is: "Do not follow the law in dealing with Falun Gong practitioners." "Higher authorities have said not to follow the law in dealing with Falun Gong practitioners." This is what the Chinese policemen always claim as the lawful basis used for persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. During the last three years, no Falun Gong practitioner, pleading 'not guilty', has been released, because Jiang tells people to not follow the law when dealing with Falun Gong practitioners. It declares Falun Gong practitioners guilty and then holds show trials to deceive the public, who lack a basic understanding of the truth or who are unaware of any inside information, especially those who are outside of China.

Why do those governments and countries who upheld justice in the past ignore Jiang's policy of "destroying their [Falun Gong practitioners'] reputation, cutting off their financial sources, and annihilating their bodies," ignore Jiang's guideline of "Do not follow the law in dealing with Falun Gong practitioners", and ignore the huge number of crimes that have been committed due to these policies and guidelines? I believe that if they truly understand the deeper meanings and the results of these cruel policies, they will act in accordance with the true good nature of their conscience, because everyone has a side that is clear.

If people understand the nature of the persecution fundamentally and look at the issue using their conscience, then each time Jiang's regime slanders Falun Gong, the world and its people will take a more active role in bringing the persecution to a halt, and the persecutors to justice.
