Dafa Practitioners Severely Injured by Brutality of Guards at Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp in Hebei Province

(Clearwisdom.net) In March 2001, Officials in Hebei Province's "610 Office" *) decided that Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp was not working hard enough to persecute Dafa practitioners. They blamed the camp for a very low "transformation rate"(referring to the number of practitioners that submitted to the persecution and gave up Falun Gong). The "610 Office" ordered the labor camp to learn from "experiences" in other provinces and to force Dafa practitioners to comply with their demands to abandon Dafa. Following this directive, Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp authorities intensified the persecution.

In April 2001, following things they learned from other labor camps, the labor camp's Second Division re-employed the evil tactics they used once before to "transform" practitioners. For determined practitioners who refused to cooperate, the policemen used hanging and beating, tying them with ropes, electric shocks and sleep deprivation. Evil guards invented some of the most ferocious tortures.

In a room for drying clothes, two steel cables were set up at 6.5 feet above the ground and 1.6 feet apart. The evil guards ordered criminal inmates to strip the clothes from practitioners' upper bodies, handcuffed them and pushed them onto the steel cables, so that their arms had to support their bodies. The criminals then would slide the practitioners back and forth on the cables, which quickly cut into the flesh. Soon there was blood all over the place. Some practitioners were tortured like this for more than half an hour. Many Dafa practitioners had permanent scars. Some were even permanently handicapped. Wang Yuansheng from Jiuyang Village in Jizhou City, Hebei Province was hurt so badly that, to this day, he can no longer raise one arm, nor can he make a fist or open his hands straight. He still has difficulty eating.

Policemen in Team Four were equally brutal. They hung practitioners with handcuffs to the steel window bars. They also denied practitioners sleep. The guards ordered criminal inmates to monitor Dafa practitioners. When they saw practitioners falling asleep they would hit them with sticks or burn them with cigarettes. To protest this atrocity, some practitioners went on a hunger strike. The guards ordered criminals inmates to violently force-feed practitioners three times a day.

The camp officials knew full well that these tortures could not change Dafa practitioners' hearts. Yet they chose to follow orders from the "610 Office" and committed such cold-blooded crimes against Dafa and its practitioners.
