A Practitioner's Wife Appeals to People's Consciences
(Clearwisdom.net) My husband is a Falun Gong practitioner. At first, we had a very happy family, but misfortune
descended upon us on July 20, 1999, when the persecution of Falun Gong began. My husband is a dedicated Falun Dafa practitioner. At first, he was detained for a month, and
then he was expelled from his workplace. Later he was illegally sent to a forced-labor camp and was
imprisoned there for a year and a half. After his term was reached, he was then sent to a
brainwashing center, where he has already been held for half a year. It is hard for people to
imagine the physical and mental torture he has suffered. Every time I go to see him, upon seeing his
body all battered from torture, my heart aches deeply. He respects our parents, cares for and loves
me, and our child. He works diligently and earnestly. Why is he subject to such persecution? When you gather together with your families, please think about how many Falun Gong practitioners
are bearing the pain of ruined and broken families, and how many wives, husbands, children and
parents are longing to be reunited with their relatives! Please look at the truth, and don't be
deceived any longer! Please act on your conscience and stand up to expose the evil, please reach out
a helping hand and stop this evil persecution. Since several years ago when my husband began to be subjected to persecution, I have had to
support the elderly and raise our children. I have had to bear on my own the pain of knowing that my
husband is being persecuted, and I have had to deal with other things, including pressures from
work, society, customs, and family. All these heavy pressures were dropped on me, a frail woman. But
I bore them all, because I know that my husband and all Falun Gong practitioners are good people,
and whatever they are doing is upright and legal. I also know that the evil cannot deceive the
public forever; there is bound to be a day when people will realize the truth. I believe this day
