Letter from a Greek Professor to the Chinese Leader

Dear Mr. Chairman Hu Jintao

I take the initiative to address to you this important and historic appeal letter and request, as a friend of the Chinese Nation.

For many years I had the chance to meet very important Chinese personalities, some are still in China and some now abroad, sharing the content and the reasons of addressing this letter to you.

I am the President of an Athens Greek Organisation of ecology, environment and human rights. I am also past President of Travel Associations and I am involved in many social Clubs that really admire the Chinese culture and civilisation. In the past as President of the A.S.T.A (American Society of Travel Agents Greek Chapter and International Relations) I promoted Travel Relations between China and Europe. Recently, after China and Greece entered into a new era of cooperation, I participated in promoting Greek Chinese relations in Travel.

And now I come to the point and the reason of this letter.

My wife was suffering from cancer and after visiting hospitals in USA, Italy and Sweden, we met a Swedish doctor who suggested she practise Falun Dafa. Later on, a Greek who studied in China was also practising Falun Dafa and introduced me to many others who are really very nice, friendly, helpful and righteous. They do not belong to any Political Party or to any specific religion and they do not harm anybody in practising Falun Dafa. My opinion is that they are so fine and harmless that you, as the Leader of China, should be very proud of them.

I am very familiar with the persecution, and in Salt Lake City and many other cities Falun Dafa practitioners appealed for their human rights, and the whole universe was shocked by the facts that they presented to the United Nations. As you know, Greece is the host of Olympic games 2004 and China for 2008.

Greece has now the presidency of the European Community and soon the European Community will be 24 countries with average population of 600,000 people and if you take in consideration that in China twice of that population disapprove of the persecution against Falun Dafa, including the rest of the world over two and a half billion people are against it.

Recently, the cultural centre of Athens hosted a painter called Zhang Cuiying, who had the chance to offer the Prime Minister of Greece, the Minister of foreign affairs and the Mayor of Athens, some paintings with information about Falun Dafa activities and the persecution against the human rights of practitioners. A full dossier was also given to the ambassadors of the European Community as well as the new countries that will enter the European Community this year.

Dear Mr. Chairman Hu, you will be the new leader of China in a historical and very critical moment. One single thought makes the difference. I sincerely urge you to make the right decision: STOP THE PERSECUTION AGAINST FALUN DAFA and help to create a bright future for China and the world. It is your choice and your future.
