Vancouver Falun Gong Practitioners Protest in Front of the Chinese Consulate Against Jiang Regime's Illegal Trial of U.S. Citizen, Charles Li

Vancouver practitioners held activities in front of the Chinese Consulate from 2 pm to 8 pm on March 21 to protest against the illegal trial of Dr. Charles Li, a U.S citizen, by the Chinese government, and called for the Chinese government to release Dr. Li immediately and unconditionally.

Recently there have been a series of incidents where citizens and permanent residents of various countries were arrested when they visited relatives in China. They revealed once again the recklessness of the Jiang's group in its persecution of people who cultivate "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," be they from China or from other countries.

Jiang's criminal gang that wantonly persecutes Falun Gong practitioners should be the ones on trial. The Chinese dictator, whom Amnesty International called a "human rights scoundrel," has used his "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] to systematically conduct state terrorism against Falun Gong practitioners for the past four years, and carry out the "Killing is permitted. Deaths will be considered suicides" extermination policy. So far at least 634 practitioners who believe in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" have been killed. The trial of Dr. Li is a trial of the victim by the murderer.

Moreover, Jiang's group has usurped the entire national media and used them to slander Falun Gong. They also blocked the Internet, and interfered with overseas radio and television broadcasting, thereby depriving the populace the right to know the truth. Practitioners in places such as Changchun in China intercepted and transmitted truth information about Falun Gong on cable TV. This act was upholding the freedom of speech guaranteed by the constitution, and upholding the Chinese people's right to know. It is a magnificent act that is legitimate and just.

Practitioners in Vancouver, Canada urgently call on all governments and upright people in the world to extend a helping hand, and demand that the Chinese government immediately release Dr. Li and all Falun Gong practitioners in China who are illegally imprisoned.
