(Clearwisdom.net) 1. A Kind-Hearted Party Secretary A Party secretary from a village in northeast China has frequently protected Falun Dafa
practitioners after he learned the truth about Dafa. In one instance, when a practitioner who had
been forced to leave home to avoid arrest returned to the village during the New Year, police
officers went to the secretary to ask for the practitioner's information so they could arrest him.
The secretary said that he didn't know. But as soon as the police left, he telephoned the
practitioner to tell him that the police were on their way. The practitioner immediately left, so
the police were unable to arrest him. 2. An Elderly Father's Righteousness A female Falun Dafa practitioner was arrested and jailed in a detention center. She went on a
hunger strike, refusing to cooperate with the police. She later lost consciousness. Her father went
to visit her, and the jail's doctor said, "Your daughter is in trouble; there may be some hope
if she is taken to the hospital soon." Her father firmly believed that he must save his daughter. He first went to the provincial police
department. They told him that they were not the ones who had arrested her. He then went to the
inter-provincial police headquarters and refused to leave. The police threatened him, but he said,
"If you dare to touch me, my friends and relatives will never let you off the hook." After a few days, the police left. Seeing that he could not find the police anymore, he went back
to the provincial police department and refused to leave. When the officers could not stand him
anymore, a few leaders told him, "You need to give us 5,000 Yuan [Chinese currency, the
monthly salary for an average Chinese urban worker is about 500 Yuan] before we can release
her." The father said with a stare, "I don't have money, but you can have my life." In the
end, the leaders could not do anything and said, "OK, OK, we will release her." With her
father's help, this practitioner was rescued, her health returned to normal after a few days. She
was once more able to participate in Fa-rectification. March 21, 2003
