By a practitioner from Japan
(Clearwisdom.net) In order to assist with the rescue of Japanese practitioner
Ms.Yoko Kaneko, who is detained in China, Canadian Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Lin
Shenli came to Japan and appealed to Japanese society to help rescue Yoko
Kaneko.
Lin Shenli and some Japanese practitioners visited the council members of
Miyagi County. After hearing the truth of Falun Dafa and the cruel tortures Ms.
Yoko Kaneko is experiencing, the council members with just hearts took the
initiative to organize a press conference and contacted the reporters. One
council member even hosted the press conference in person.
The press conference was held in the Miyagi county Government Reporters' club
on February 26, 2003. Reporters from six different media attended. The Japanese practitioners first introduced Falun Gong to the
reporters and talked about the cruel persecution of Faun Gong practitioners in
China. He also introduced the background information of how Ms. Kaneko was
illegally detained. Then, he introduced the ways in which practitioners have tried
to rescue Ms. Kaneko in Japan and all around the world. Lin Shenli then talked
about his own experiences of being tortured in the forced labor camp, including
long hours of heavy labor work, being beaten up, and forced brainwashing. The
practitioners being detained in China's forced labor camps are at risk of
losing their lives at any time. Mr. Lin appealed to the Japanese government,
parliament and people from walks of life to support and rescue Ms. Kaneko from
the evil den as soon as possible. At the same time, he also called on Japanese
media to pay more attention to Ms. Kaneko's situation from a human rights
perspective, and give it objective, fair and wide reports. The reporters
carefully listened to the speech and took notes.
After the speech, Mr. Lin Shenli answered questions from the reporters. The
council member who attended the press conference was deeply moved by Lin
Shenli's speech. He said that if it wasn't for Mr. Lin's personal experience, he
could never have imagined that the Jiang's Regime was using such inhuman methods
to torture Falun Gong practitioners. He said he wanted to know more about Falun
Gong.
On February 27, 2003, another press conference was held in the Reporters'
Club in the government building of Iwate County. Reporters from thirteen
different media attended. They also expressed their
concern about the persecution that Ms. Yoko Kaneko and other Falun Gong
practitioners have experienced in China and asked many detailed questions.
Through dealing and talking with the reporters, the practitioners
participating in the activities felt the importance of keeping righteous minds
and clarifying the truth.
