Finding Out the Root Cause of Being Persecuted and Eliminating It

Recently, I often hear the news that some practitioners were persecuted or interfered with by the evil forces. This reminded me about my persecution around the end of 2002. Later under Teacher's compassionate help, I walked out of the evil place. Therefore, I would like to share my experience with everyone about what was my reason for being persecuted.

Before I was arrested, for a period of time, my body had always suffered tribulations. I could not hold my hand in the correct upright position when sending forth righteous thoughts, plus I could not calm my mind when studying the Fa and I had a strong will and attachment of doing things. I was very confused about these incorrect conditions and tried very hard to correct or adjust them. At that time I was responsible for some Dafa projects and I did not want to cause any trouble for Dafa because of my own attachments. However, I failed to have a clear head when looking for answers in the Fa.

Teacher said "The Fa can break all attachments." ("Drive Out Interference," Essentials for Further Advancement II)

Teacher also said, "...as long as you still have everyday people's attachments, those are what demons can use, and when you're not paying attention they can be used at any moment." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Boston")

Before that day that I was arrested, I was very sure that I called one practitioner's cell phone, but a non-practitioner had answered the phone. Even knowing that, I kept calling that practitioner's cell phone a couple of times (at that time, I had a strong attachment of doing things, showing-off, and zealotry). Teacher said, "The desire to show off plus the attachment of zealotry are most easily exploited by the demonic part of your mind." ("Definitive Conclusion," Falun Dafa Essentials for Further Advancement) Under all these attachments, I still did not calm myself down, look inside myself, purify my attitude, and enhance my righteous thoughts. Instead I immediately proceeded to go to that practitioner's home to find out what was happening. As a result, a policeman who was hiding there kidnapped me. Later on, I looked into myself and found out that I had the following points where I did not do well.

First, I did not deny the evil forces completely. After reading Teacher's recent lecture, "Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.," I realized that Teacher had asked his disciples to have a high xinxing [mind nature and moral character] standard. If a practitioner could not reach that high xinxing standard that means that he or she still has attachments, and the evil would use it to persecute practitioners. At that time I knew that I had omissions and I also tried to deny the evil's persecution, but down in the bottom of my heart, I still had the attachment of fear. Hearing that some practitioners were arrested one after another, I thought I might also be arrested, thus unknowingly complying with the old forces.

Later, I realized that the attachments we have are things that we need to remove during the Fa-rectification process. The purpose of getting rid of our attachments is to rectify all that is not pure. The old forces use their "testing Dafa practitioners" as an excuse and impose the persecution upon us, which Teacher does not allow. Therefore, we shall not allow the old forces' arrangements either.

Secondly, I failed to correct my problems about the state of sending forth righteous thoughts and studying the Fa. Teacher said,

Lastly, all these incorrect conditions resulted from a lack of Fa study, which in turn caused a weakness in the main consciousness. Teacher said, "...since the old forces have separated the surface and Dafa disciples' original natures, there are a lot of things Dafa disciples can't do anything about" (Touring North America to Teach the Fa)

My personal opinion about getting rid of human mentality is to study the Fa more, enhance righteous thoughts and only then, can Dafa disciples' capability be developed and used.
