Liu Guizhi, the neighborhood committee secretary of Qixin Street in Huadian City, Jilin Province, very actively follows Jiang's regime in persecuting Dafa. She would tear up any truth-clarifying flyers and banners wherever she saw them. She would take the torn flyers and banners to work and show them to her colleagues. In the winter of 2002, her son, a taxi driver, had a car accident and barely survived. Even to this day, her son is still in the hospital. She has spent tens of thousands of Yuan and her son has yet to recover.

Li Guangdong, head of the Linghe Police Station in Chaoyang City of Liaoning Province, became one of Jiang's henchmen after the persecution started on July 20th 1999. During the Spring Festival, he was apprehended for gambling. Now, he has been demoted and transferred to another position.

In the town of Tanbu, Mengyin County, Shandong Province, Meng Qinglong viciously persecutes Dafa practitioners. In September of 2002, he fractured his foot while riding his motorcycle when it suddenly flipped over. There were no other cars or pedestrians on the road.

Liu Yutai, a resident of Lianzhuang Village, in the town of Taoqu, Mengyin County, Shandong Province, is very hostile towards Dafa. One day after he arrived home from a trip, he discovered some truth-clarifying materials in his house and turned them in to the county's "610 Office" [an above-the-law agency through which the Jiang regime carries out its state-run terrorism campaign against Falun Gong practitioners]. About one month later, when he was cutting down trees, a large branch fell down and injured his leg. He spent a lot of money in the hospital and still cannot walk.

[Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionateáreminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.]
