In Fuzhou City, the local districts opened classes lasting from 18 days to 90 days. Then the city
"610 office" and the provincial government departments organized similar classes. The
classes in the Fuzhou City lasted until the end of 2002. Many other cities also organized many
brainwashing sessions. There were 1000 to 2000 Dafa practitioners forcibly sent to the brainwashing centers throughout
the Fujian Province. The "610 office", in collusion with the public security bureaus and
employers, forced practitioners into the brainwashing center with the excuse of just wanting to talk
or by using force. The employers were asked to pay 5000 to 10,000 Yuan [Chinese currency, the
monthly salary for an average Chinese urban worker is about 500 Yuan] and to dispatch up to
three people to monitor each Dafa practitioner and to aid in the "reformation" effort. In
the brainwashing center, practitioners were forced to watch videos that slandered Dafa or forced to
read materials that defamed Dafa. They were coerced to give up the practice of Dafa or write
"guarantees to give up Dafa;" otherwise, they were sent to forced labor camps. In such a
situation, many Dafa practitioners clarified the truth of Dafa face to face with those officers.
They spread the righteous belief of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance, and the heavenly law of
"good is rewarded with good and evil with evil". They did not listen to the officers or
feel threatened; they refused to write any guarantees. Many of them were eventually released, but a
few of them were sent to a forced labor camp. Some of the practitioners wrote the
"guarantees" under pressure and were sent home. Many of those practitioners quickly
realized that to write a guarantee is wrong and returned to the Fa-rectification process. The preceding facts are just part of what we have learned. Some determined Dafa practitioners
were forced to leave home to avoid the persecution. Some are on the wanted list and cannot go home.
Many of their elderly parents or young children are left at home with no one to care for them. A List of People Involved in the Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners: The following are names and phone numbers of some of the people from the "610 office",
