Denmark: Falun Gong Is Warmly Welcomed at a Health Fair in Aarhus (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) From March 28 to 30, 2003, Danish practitioners attended a large-scale Health Fair in the city of Aarhus, the second largest city in Denmark.

In the spacious exhibition hall, the Falun Dafa display stand was decorated with pictures and banners, and practitioners distributed materials in different languages. Because this was a health fair, practitioners prepared information that focused on how they have had their bodies purified and their health improved through practicing Falun Gong. In addition, practitioners' personal experiences during cultivation and materials introducing the exercises and the persecution in China were also prepared. Throughout the health fair, a video was repeatedly played that introduced Falun Dafa along with the Dafa exercise instruction video, showing Master Li demonstrating the exercises. Also, there happened to be a large open area in front of the Falun Dafa display stand -- it was as if this was specifically meant for practitioners to demonstrate the exercises!

When walking past the Falun Dafa stand, the crowds of people were inclined to slow down. Some stood in front of the TV to watch the video and others carefully chose materials to take with them. They were particularly interested in the Video-CDs that exposed the facts of the persecution in China. The exercise demonstration attracted many onlookers. Elegant and relaxing exercises combined with the graceful Dafa music, practitioners' peaceful facial expressions and the powerful energy field drew the attention of many visitors.

Practitioners who were giving out materials were asked many questions by people who passed by the stand. They used this opportunity to tell people about the popularity of Falun Dafa in over 60 countries, the relationship between cultivation, morality and health, and the facts behind the persecution of Falun Gong by the Jiang regime. People were shocked by the brutality of what is happening to practitioners in China. For members of a free society, this vicious and inhuman persecution is unbelievable and hard to imagine. It seems that every time practitioners expose the facts about the persecution to people, they are asked the same question: "Why is this brutal torture and murder happening?"

As Fa-rectification progresses and more people learn the truth, there seem to be fewer obstacles to our activities. During this health fair, we felt that there are still many people with predestined relationships waiting to learn about the Fa. One Chinese lady and her Danish husband had arranged their own display at the Health Fair. However, during the 3-day fair, she could not help but be attracted to the Falun Dafa display. She stood and talked with practitioners and watched the exercise demonstration. The practitioners knew that it was the power of a predestined relationship.

One student from China happened to work part time in the exhibition center. At night when practitioners had gone home, he noticed the Falun Gong display stand. After reading the materials, he found that Falun Gong was totally different from what China's state-controlled media had told him. The next day he came to the Falun Gong stand to talk with practitioners. Practitioners answered his questions and he replied, "I believe what you are saying." During the day, he was often seen at the Dafa stand. Practitioners felt very happy that another kind person had awakened to the truth.

There were also two Danish sisters who came to the stand. On the first day, one of them stood in front of the TV to watch the videos for a very long time. When a practitioner offered her a chair, she accepted and continued to watch before talking with practitioners. The second day, she came to the stand again and said with excitement that she had spent one and a half hours watching the Video-CD on her computer. She told practitioners how she was attracted by the Dafa introduction and was shocked by the persecution in China. She also said that this was what she had been looking for and she definitely wants to learn Falun Gong.

Our activities always attract a lot of children. This health fair was no exception and many children came to see the exercises and asked to learn. During the display, we arranged two sessions to introduce Falun Gong to the public more comprehensively. During the sessions, the audience was encouraged to raise questions for discussion.

The display came to a close successfully and all of the practitioners felt that the activities were beneficial. Learning the truth will bring a great future for the people of Aarhus.

Most of the practitioners who helped out with the Dafa stand at the health fair were from the Danish capital, Copenhagen. When they heard that manpower was needed, they went to Aarhus without hesitation. We understood the importance of these activities in offering the truth to more people during the Fa-rectification period.
