Hong Kong Falun Gong Practitioners Hold Sit-In to Support the Lawsuit Against Jiang (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On April 14, 2003, at 3:00 p.m., over a hundred Hong Kong Falun Gong practitioners held a sit-in at Charter Gardens to support the lawsuit against former Chinese dictator Jiang in the United States. Hong Kong Falun Dafa Association spokesperson Kan Hung-cheung emphasized that the case does not aim at the Chinese people or Chinese government, but aims to sift out wretched humans that harm people, so that the Chinese government's administration would become clearer and brighter, people's lives would become happier and have more freedom, and it would benefit both the Chinese economy and people's livelihoods.

Mr. Kan continued that the most fundamental purpose of the lawsuit is to enable people to discern right and wrong, good and evil, and to rectify people's hearts.

He said that the lawsuit enables the people of the world to see clearly the brutal suppression and persecution of Falun Gong going on in China, and renew justice in the human world, so that more kind-hearted people will stand up to stop the atrocities. At the same time, vile persons will receive their due punishment through a just trial of the international court, and the people of justice and kindness will be protected.

When being asked if the lawsuit is good for China, Mr. Kan expressed that Jiang's crimes, including all the bad deeds he has committed against the Chinese people, are clear to all Chinese people and government officials. Most people curse him privately. The lawsuit against him is affording general satisfaction to people both inside and outside of China. But because of the information blockade to the Chinese people, they don't know much about the lawsuit. So Falun Gong practitioners will try their best to let all Chinese people learn about the lawsuit.

The lawsuit has set in legal proceedings. On April 14, 2003, Plaintiff's attorney provided the court in Illinois in the US with evidence of crimes of Jiang and the "610 Office." More legal proceedings will take place in the following two weeks. In the past few days, Falun Gong practitioners around the world have been gathering in front of Chinese Embassies and Consulates to support the lawsuit against Jiang, and these activities will last for several days.
