Persecutors of Falun Gong at Chengde University Receive Karmic Retribution
(Clearwisdom.net) Wang Jiajun was the previous president of Chengde University in Chengde City, Hebei Province.
When he held that position, he helped the "610 Office" [an agency specifically created
to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of the Party and all other political
and judiciary systems] to persecute Falun Gong practitioners at the university and had three
practitioners arrested. Two of them suffered brutal torture in prison for ten months and then
received heavy sentences. Wang Jiajun forced all employees and students to sign a document
slandering Falun Gong during a signature-collection campaign, creating miserable futures for many
innocent lives. Persecuting Dafa is a sin that cannot be tolerated by the universal principles of
Zhen-Shan-Ren (Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance). Wang Jiajun died from cancer around the
2002 Chinese New Year. He had been diagnosed only one month earlier. The previous vice president of the university, Gu Yanfan, used all kinds of media and propaganda
channels against Falun Gong. He even attacked Falun Gong while appearing on CCTV. In 2002, his only
child, a son, fell from a building and was killed. Gu himself has many diseases, and his spine is
bent. Now Gu extremely regrets his prior persecution of Dafa. He told his co-workers, "I
brought all this misfortune to myself." During the National Holiday in 2001, six members of the university rented a mini-bus and went to
Beijing for a vacation. However, they were in a severe car accident. One died and five were injured.
At the time this article was written, two of them were still in deep comas and being kept alive by
life-support equipment. Another persecutor, janitor Wang, monitored the practitioners who attended the university. He and
his wife were very active in the persecution. During the middle of January 2003, Wang's wife died
from lung cancer. She had been diagnosed only a short time before her death. A message to all people: Do not follow the despicable Jiang and his mob by persecuting Falun Dafa
-- do not gamble with your lives by participating in the tyranny. Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is,
being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental
teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe,
"Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in
harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will
incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while
evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a
compassionateáreminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of
those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires
that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of
wrongdoing may they escape retribution.
