(Clearwisdom.net) Bai Shihua, female, was born in 1971, and she was the former employee of Steel and Iron Factory of Laiwu City Steel and Iron Corporation in Shandong Province. She lived in Laiwu City Steel and Iron Corp. dormitory in Wanliuyuan Residential Area. Because she persisted in cultivating Falun Dafa, she had been illegally detained for brainwashing many times; she was detained in Shandong Province No. 2 Female Forced Labor Camp and Wangcun Female Forced Labor Camp, where she was tortured until she had a nervous breakdown. Later, she was detained and forcefully brainwashed by the Laiwu City Steel and Iron Corp. Police Department. In the beginning of March 2003, she was tortured to death.

Bai Shihua went to Beijing to appeal peacefully on the New Year Day of 2000. On January 7, she practiced the exercises on Tiananmen Square, and was arrested by police from the Tiananmen Police Station. On the 8th, Jiao Yuqi from Laiwu City Steel and Iron Corp. Police Department escorted her back and extorted 100 Yuan from her for food. She was detained in the Security Section in the Steel and Iron Factory for more than ten days, and was forced to pay 5,000 Yuan guarantee deposit.

On May 4, 2000, Bai Shihua went to Beijing to appeal for the second time. On the 8th, she unfolded a banner on Tiananmen Square. Later she was detained by the Laiwu City Yinshan Police Department, and imprisoned at the Laiwu City Detention Center. After a three day hunger strike, she was released.

In July 2000, she was kidnapped to a brainwashing class located in the Office Building of Sintering Factory Worker's Union of Laiwu City Steel and Iron Corp. Bai Shihua protested for 36 days with a hunger strike. She was force-fed and given injections against her will. Finally, she was released in the beginning of August.

In September 2000, she was expelled from work at the Steel and Iron Factory of Laiwu City Steel and Iron Corp.

In October 2000, Laiwu City Steel and Iron Corp held the brainwashing class for the second time. Every Thursday, she was forced to go to the brainwashing class in Laofu Plaza. Later, Bai Shihua resisted it with righteous thoughts. On February 4, 2001, she was kidnapped for the third time and taken again to the brainwashing class held in the Special Steel Factory Hotel of Laiwu City Steel and Iron Corp.. She was forced to undergo brainwashing for about nine days.

On April 9, 2001, Bai Shihua wrote a statement to her company, stating that everything she wrote and said in the brainwashing class held in Special Steel Factory that was not in accordance with Dafa was all invalid. Later, Jiao Yuqi of Yinshan Police Department arrested Bai Shihua and sent her to forced brainwashing in No. 2 Female Forced Labor Camp in Jinan City, Shandong Province. They didn't allow her to sleep and physically tortured her for about two months; the severe torture led to her becoming mentally unstable. Laiwu City Steel and Iron Corp. detained her in the Steel and Iron Factory Security Section again after taking her back. On June 18, Jiao Yuqi again sent her to brainwashing sessions held in the Wangcun Female Forced Labor Camp in Zibo City, Shandong Province. She was badly persecuted both physically and mentally, until she was taken home on July 24.

In February 2002, Jiao Yuqi of Yinshan Police Department led people to search her home. During the 16th National Party Congress in 2002, Bai Shihua and her husband Zhang Shengwei were both imprisoned in the Laiwu City Steel and Iron Corp. Hotel, and forced to undergo brainwashing again. This time, the mental impact on her was even worse.

Due to the incessant torture both mentally and physically, after a few months of suffering, Bai Shihua passed away tragically early in the morning of March 13, 2003, leaving behind her aging parents and a daughter who is only 10 years old.
