(Clearwisdom.net) On April 25, 1999, more than 10,000 Falun Gong practitioners peacefully gathered outside the Appeals Office of the State Council in Beijing to request the authorities to release more than 40 Falun Gong practitioners who had been arbitrarily detained in Tianjin. Thereafter, Falun Gong received widespread international attention.

Four years have passed. Beyond the expectation of the evil force headed by Jiang, every genuine Falun Gong disciple has kept unshakable righteous thoughts in the face of brutal suppression, and completely destroyed the evil's attempt to eradicate Falun Gong. Falun Gong practitioners have been using their unique peaceful manner to appeal and let their voices be heard in every corner of the world. More and more people can see clearly Jiang's evil nature through the persecution of Falun Gong.

On April 25, 2003, in the rain, Falun Gong practitioners from Washington area held a press conference outside the Chinese Embassy to commemorate the significant day, to condemn and expose the Jiang regime's lies that have deceived many people, to demand an immediate end to the persecution of Falun Gong and the immediately release of American citizen Charles Li.

The appeal began at 5:00 p.m., the practitioners continuously practiced the Falun Dafa exercises and sent forth righteous thoughts. They held banners reading, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," "Righteous thoughts demonstrate their mighty power," "Falun Dafa is good," and "Immediately stop the persecution of Falun Gong." The practitioners peacefully stood outside the Chinese Embassy to convey their messages from their hearts. The appeal activity concluded at 8:00 p.m.
