Since March 17, 2003, when she was illegally detained and sentenced to forced labor, practitioner Ms. Liu Liping has refused to eat or drink as her way to protest the persecution. She is in extremely critical condition. Fellow Dafa practitioners, please send righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil behind the persecution, to rescue her.

On February 24, 2003, police from Daodongbao Township's Police Precinct and Cheng'an County's Police Department took Dafa practitioner Ms. Yu Qiaofeng to a detention center. While the police were taking Ms. Yu away, her husband, a non-practitioner, Mr. Li Yin, resisted the police's outrageous actions and argued with them. He did not allow them to take his wife away and locked his wife in their house. The police didn't give up. They broke down the door and windows and forcibly took Dafa practitioner Yu Qiaofeng away. Later on March 4, the police illegally detained Mr. Li Yin as well.

In March 2003, police in Harbin City started a large-scale campaign to persecute Dafa practitioners. It's said that Dafa materials production centers were destroyed in the following districts: Nangang District, Daowai District, Xiangfang District, Taiping District, and Daoli District. A large number of practitioners were arrested including: Professor Zhou, his wife, Doctor Wang and their daughter from the Nangang District; Xiao Ma and Xiao Zao (pseudonyms), doctor Li's family of three, including his teenage son from the Taiping District. Additionally, scores of policemen staked out doctor Li's Orthopedic Clinic in an attempt to arrest Dafa practitioners. Furthermore, doctor Li's younger brother and older sister's homes were ransacked. Several practitioners were reported to police while they held an experience-sharing meeting. They are now arrested and their whereabouts are unknown.

On March 14, students reported 32-year-old Ms. Feng Ruixue to police while she was clarifying the truth to them. Police took her away and also ransacked her home.

In October 2002, a Dafa materials production center was destroyed because some personnel from Zibo City's "610 Office" held a stakeout at a certain place and followed practitioner(s). Six practitioners were beaten up on the spot; five were taken away, and the other one escaped with his righteous thoughts. Materials, equipment and monetary savings were confiscated -- the loss is huge. The abducted practitioners are so far still under detention and their family members are not allowed to visit them. Among them are 30-year-old practitioner Ms. Che Guihua from Xiaozhou Village, Zaili Town, Zichuan District of Zibo City. Up till now, she is still detained at Zibo City's Zhangdian Detention Center and 40-year-old Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Zaixi from Jiashi Village, Hongshan Town, Zichuan District of Zibo City. He is held at Zibo City's Wangcun Forced Labor Camp and was sentenced to three years of forced labor.

Sixty-year-old Mr. Fu Chulan is a former worker from Wuhan City's Rubber Factory. In 2000, he was sentenced to one year of forced labor only because he exercised his right, granted by the Constitution, to go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. In May 2002, he went to court to attend a hearing of Falun Gong practitioners. After his return home he was arrested, was once again sentenced to 1.5 years forced labor and is now held at Wuhan City's Hewan Forced Labor Camp. In October 2002, Fu Chulan's wife requested a divorce and entrusted a lawyer to go to the Hewan Forced Labor Camp to process the case. After an internal discussion, the police at the labor camp didn't let Fu Chulan meet with the lawyer and secretly sanctioned the divorce. They only told Fu Chulan the end result.

Policemen from the No.1 Section of Wuhan City's Police Department often secretly follow Dafa practitioners and take photos of them. Some practitioners being arrested were asked to look at police photos taken covertly that show practitioners walking. Now the No.1 Section of Wuhan City's Police Department uses young, [out-of-uniform] police officers who look like students to do this covert work in order to avoid being recognized as police enforcers. These policemen are afraid of being exposed, however, and don't acknowledge arresting Dafa practitioners. Rather, they claim policemen from the stations are doing it.

On the morning of March 6, 2003, practitioner Ms. Zhang Denghui, 36 years old, from Xiaba of Jiangjin County/Chongqing City was arrested when she was distributing Dafa truth-clarifying materials and clarifying the facts about Dafa to the public.

On the night of March 10, 2003, practitioner Ms. Tang Jing from Longshui Town, Dazu County/Chongqing City, was illegally arrested while she was distributing Dafa truth-clarifying materials and clarifying the facts about Dafa to the public.

Practitioner Ms. Liu Limin protested the persecution. For this, police detained her illegally. After her detention term expired, police sent her to a brainwashing class. Now Ms. Liu is illegally detained at Wuchang District's "610 Office." * Brainwashing Center

Belated News: Practitioner Li Shujun from Jinan City/Shandong Province was an excellent student in the Department of Biological Pharmacy of China's Pharmaceutical University. He was assigned to work for Shandong Province's Qilu Antibiotics Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd in 2000. In August or September of 2002, he was secretly arrested and his whereabouts are unknown.

At 6:00 a.m. on March 5, 2003, Fangzi Town Police officials arrested practitioner Mr. Fang Shuguo from Weifang City, Shandong Province, and sent him to the Wangchun Forced Labor Camp.

Recently, the ruffians from Fushun City's "610 Office" recklessly arrested practitioners. Within ten days, from the end of February to early March, more than 20 practitioners were illegally arrested and taken to detention centers. It was said that this action was to meet the police department's quota and cooperate with the People's Congress and Political Consultation Conference. According to related regulations, all detainees had to have a physical exam. Those who had severe diseases should be rejected. But this time, officials from the Political and Judiciary Committee and the police department gave orders to arrest all practitioners, no matter whether or not they were in good health.

During the "Two Conferences," ** Dehui City's Police, Prosecutor, officials from the Justice Department, the "610 Office," the Traffic Team, and City Administration Team worked together to conduct raids on Dafa practitioners. Every day, the "110" police cars roamed the streets. Especially at night, police cars were parked at each main intersection. At some particular places, personnel from police precincts and work units were ordered to hold stakeouts to arrest practitioners. Even at 3:00 a.m., one could hear police car sirens. However, Dafa practitioners were not affected by such a situation. They kept on with righteous thoughts and righteous actions. Truth-clarifying materials could still be seen at residential buildings in downtown and suburban areas.

On February 24, 2003, policemen broke into a Dafa practitioner's home and confiscated their TV and VCD. They did not care that the mother was breast-feeding her 20-day-old infant and forcibly took the mother away. The non-practicing family members didn't want the baby to lose the mother, so they went everywhere for help. The policemen threatened to detain this Dafa practitioner. After extorting 3,000 Yuan from them, the policemen released the Dafa practitioner to rejoin her baby.

On the morning of March 9, 2003, policemen in Shijiazhuang City took away three Dafa practitioners from Mr. LiuQunming's home. They are Liu Qunming himself, over 50 years old, his daughter Ms. Liu Hui, about 20 years old and Ms. Wang Fengcun, over 50 years old. On March 10, 2003, policemen who were staking out LiuQunming's home again arrested four Dafa practitioners, including Ms. Wang Fenghe, over 50 years old, Ms. Cui Shuqin, over 50 years old, Ms. Lu, about 30 years old and another Dafa practitioner, name unknown. It is unclear at present where these Dafa practitioners were detained.

On March 14, 2003, when 60-year-old Ms. Zeng Yonglian and over 50-year-old Ms. Liu Leifeng were clarifying the facts of Falun Gong at Dapu Street in Hengdong County, lawless policemen arrested them. Their whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. He Lihua has been missing for over one month since her unlawful arrest by persons from the Chaoyang District's Police Precinct. The details are unknown.

Tianhe District in Guangzhou City has more Dafa practitioners than other districts and is the district where Dafa practitioners are persecuted most severely. Several hundred Dafa practitioners were sent to forced labor camps. Officials from the Politics and Security Section from the Tianhe Police Precinct, each police station, Tianhe District's Detention Center, Guangzhou City's Brainwashing Class, and Guangzhou City's Forced Labor Camp have formed a joint persecution system for monitoring, tracking, arresting, detaining, interrogating practitioners, sending practitioners to brainwashing sessions, to forced labor camps, and even sentencing Dafa practitioners to imprisonment.

In order to extort a confession, Xu Qingsong brutally tortured practitioners by abusing, beating, handcuffing and hanging people up by their handcuffed wrists. He also deprived practitioners of sleep for several days.
