Four Dafa Disciples from Gucheng County, Hebei Province Illegally Detained

(Clearwisdom.net)

Zhang Guizhi is 52 years old, and is a resident of Zhouxiaoyao Village, Xinzhuang Township, Gucheng County. She went to Tiananmen Square to say "Falun Dafa is great" in March 2000 and was then arrested, tortured and illegally sentenced to 3 years in prison. She was ordered to serve her sentence at home. In January 2001, she was kidnapped, taken to a brainwashing center, and persecuted by the local county "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems]. She jumped over a wall and escaped. Since that time she has been homeless and destitute in order to avoid being illegally arrested at her home. In July of 2002, Ms Zhang went to Beijing to validate Dafa again, and was arrested while spreading Dafa truth-clarifying materials. She was illegally sentenced to three and one half years in prison, and is now being jailed in Shijiazhuang City Prison, Hebei Province. She is presently extremely weak because of her hunger strike to protest the illegal detention.

Liu Yuanzhen is 30 years old, originally from Shandong Province, and now lives in Gucheng County. She was arrested in May 2001 because a practitioner was forced by police to inform on Ms Liu's posting of a truth-clarifying Dafa banner. Her youngest child was only one and one-half years old at that time. She has since been detained for about two years. The Gucheng County Police Department told her husband to pay 15,000 Yuan [500 Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China.] for her release. However, her husband does not have that much money. As a result, Ms Liu must stay at the detention center, and suffer from inhuman treatment.

Zhang Lanrong is a resident from Qinghan Town, Gucheng County. He went to Beijing to validate Dafa and was arrested in the winter of 2001. He escaped while being transferred back to Gucheng County, and has lived without a home since then. He went to Beijing to validate Dafa again in July of 2002. He was arrested while posting a truth-clarifying banner, and was illegally taken into custody at Gucheng Detention Center. He is holding a hunger strike and is now extremely weak.

Tian Xiulan is over 60 years old, and is a resident from Beiwang Village, Qinghan Town, Gucheng County. In 2002, the police rummaged up Dafa truth-clarifying materials in her home. She and her youngest son, Sun Zhenhua were arrested. Later, Sun Zhenhua was released, but Tian Xiulan was held at the Gucheng Detention Center. There is no sign that the detention center will release her in the near future, even though her family has been forced to pay a large amount of money.
