Houston, Texas: Dafa Practitioners Appeal in Front of Chinese Consulate for the Release of American Citizen Charles Li (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) At noon on March 30, 2003, Sunday, Houston Dafa practitioners came to the outside of the residential compound of the Chinese Consulate to practice the exercises and send righteous thoughts on the public lawn. On the display board are the words, "Release American Citizen Charles Li," and the words "Falun Dafa is good" and "China, Stop Persecuting Falun Gong" could be seen on the banners. It was the early spring in Houston, the temperature was high, and it was noontime, but many Dafa practitioners managed to come, and some of them even brought their children with them. A Dafa practitioner's 14 family members practice Falun Gong. Other than several members who were not in Houston, the rest of the family all came. One practitioner drove from Austin together with two other Chinese and Western practitioners from Switzerland to join the activity. The practitioners expressed that the Chinese regime arbitrarily detained and sentenced an American citizen, which is an expansion of the persecution of Falun Gong that cannot be acknowledged. It's not wrong that Charles Li practices Falun Gong. Telling the deceived Chinese people the truth in a peaceful manner is not wrong, but a just and courageous action. The practitioners strongly demanded that the Chinese government immediately release Charles Li.

As it was a weekend, with many cars coming in and out of the residential compound of the Chinese Consulate, the people inside the cars could see clearly the words on banners and display boards, and the Dafa practitioners peacefully doing the exercises on the public lawn. Some cars stopped and carefully looked at the banners.
